This game is a shell. We all know it. We all have the belief that bungie will live up to their word and release content over time.
But until they do, your basically defending on blind faith. Faith that will make you feel pretty dumb when bungie happens to fail. Just because they made halo doesn't mean a thing. They still are unproven with this type of game.
Just imagine if this were blizzards game. I would bet my last dollar most of you would be furious.
Edit: not once did I say I don't like this game. I said I won't defend it yet. This game is incomplete and until bungie keeps their word, I won't sit here like a puppet and say nothing but great things. Most of you sound just like iPhone users. Defend it to the very core, without hesitation and without thought.

1 Respuestaanyone defending bungie is a child who used their moms money to buy destiny and dose not know any better that bungie just robbed us blind, or their mindless drones aka fan boys who can not think for them selves. fact

1 RespuestaEditado por InguinalSlayer2: 10/3/2014 5:56:15 AMI've played this game over 100 hours. I don't give a shit what it is. I've enjoyed the time and it has been well worth my purchase. If enjoying a game isn't enough to defend its enjoyable qualities I don't know what is.
-
Right there with you...I've defended this game enough...I've learned the hard way through all my denial that this game did not live up to anything I thought it would be.
-
Well said. Especially the edit.
-
I am gonna stop defending it and start playin it.

1 RespuestaDude, I understand your arguments. No really, I do. Thing is, I enjoy that shell. Yup.

9 RespuestasOP thinks Bungie is God and Destiny is the Bible XD

3 RespuestasCongratulations. You just realized that every single purchase you make as a consumer is a "calculated risk". You trust on blind faith that the product in the box does what it says it does and that it is what it says it is. To quote: "Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will." Gaming companies like Bungie also trust in blind faith. They trust in blind faith that we will enjoy a product they created because they want to play it. That's how the creative process works. Most people say "Hey I enjoy this thing, I bet other people will too. Let's mass produce it and see if I'm right!" You sit here claiming you won't defend a game that is experimental. In which case you have already decided that this game isn't for you until it puts more meat on it's bones. Therefore you don't like it as it is now. I for one will agree the game feel sparse AND I know the difference between Honesty and Abuse. Read your last sentence and then tell me if you know the same.

2 RespuestasIdk y every1 hates the iPhone, it's very good. It still works great as a phone and it links to ur iTunes account so u can get all ur movies, books and music in it. And as for destiny it still has some amazing content. I can spend hours exploring the worlds and replaying strikes and such. But I'm not "defending it on blind faith" it's still a fun and enjoyable game. Even after lvl 20 there is still so much to do. If you feel like it's a shell and there is "little to no content" then u probably played too much in such a short time. Now there is not A LOT content that is tru but the game has replay value and no game is the same in the crucible

7 RespuestasAnd look where the iphone is...which one just came out, number 6? Wow!

It's a shell but it's the shell of a massive kraken that still has me thinking of which faction I'll level, what raids I'll do and which guns I'll level during the day. Just wait until the kraken awakes and spend less time feeling overly entitled
-
i agree it's a shell but, i don't agree that it's not fun. it really is how many of you played a fps more than you played destiny? don't you think that it's far more value-for-money than halo? in terms of gameplay that is yes, the loot system sucks yes, the grinding becomes boring but was there ever loot before? was there anything to grind for before? most of you are bungie fans because of halo this gives us more than it.

9 RespuestasTo be fair, if this was Blizzards game, they would have kept it in alpha testing for 6 years and would have had like LOTR levels of lore behind it. If after 6 years it turned out to be as bare as Destiny, it would have been canned.

2 RespuestasDidn't read it. Shut up

Or ya know, we like it.

4 RespuestasI've had more than 60 dollars worth of fun... first time I've been embarrassed at my play hours since Gears of War 3.

I agree with some of the criticism. Story shallow: Agree No matchmaking for dailies: Agree Cryptarch: was clear from the start for me, but would like to have seen it otherwise implemented. Hope for better Yes. Expecting it No. And I'm still enjoying the game really a lot. I knew from the start it would be mesh up of Diablo 3 and Halo
-
I was going to read all that buuuut to busy having fun playing Destiny
-
I like it.... NOW GTFO
-
I honestly can say I would be happy with it as is, mostly because the actual feel and gameplay is the most important thing to me.

This. You hit the nail on the damn head, I have complete and utter (blind) faith in bungie to deliver. But if they fail (or the people saying that this is a scam turn out to be right) you can be sure as hell I'll be the first one to call for their execution...

1 RespuestaBlind faith is believing and trusting something without reason. It's a good thing to have hope for something though, as sometimes it can make or break a situation. Things aren't always as bad as you make them out to be when you choose to be optimistic and not focus as much on negatives. There actually is a reason we can trust Bungie. All their work up until now, despite what it lacks in Destiny, is still pretty good and I can still very much enjoy my time in the game until further content and fixes are added. Yes, there is so much untaped potential, which can disappoint many at launch; but we can also see how much Bungie cares about this game. Think about how much this company really has been involved especially in these weeks that followed launch. These past three weeks have already been filled with hotfixes, frequent events, their future plans for updates, and along with that are already adding features like in-game chat. They're already responding to some of what the community has asked for at a pretty fast rate. We could at least trust that this company is truly dedicated to doing the best they can with this game, which is at least pretty fun and decent for the current time being. I defend this game because some people who criticize will cross the line between constructive criticism and just simply bashing what is still in fact a good, fun game- I don't think a good game should be slandered just because it didn't reach expectations of hype, which are almost never met in most cases. The hype is always excessively big and at times unrealistic. If there was no fun factor, was missing content, and was made by a company that wasn't already well respected I would have dismissed this game by now. I think it's okay that we can at least leave some faith since Bungie really does want to make this the best game possible. It's easier to perceive this as basically a sapling which is very small but can grow into something much bigger than we all expected. I don't mind at least showing Bungie my support until that day comes.
