Yes. The ability that gives zero damage reduction and forces melee range and takes away ranged capability and turns you into a big blue target is op.
Tell your team to shoot the blue glowing guy. You fixed the op.

I'm a Bladedancer and I can confirm that Arc Blade gives you damage reduction, although not as much as Voidwalkers and Strikers get mid-Super. I don't think it's OP though.
-
Strikers and Voidwalkers don't have supers that last up to 30 seconds
-
Arc Blade doesn't last for 30 seconds.
-
It only lasts that amount if you aren't killing anything. Goes away so fast when you get kills..
-
Yes. WHEN you get kills. Not IF. Hell, even spamming melee to close the distance only cuts it down to about ten seconds.
Yes. WHEN you get kills. Not IF. Hell, even spamming melee to close the distance only cuts it down to about ten seconds.
Yes when you get kills. Which means saying titans and warlocks don't have 30s supers is irrelevant, because the arc blade lasts that long if its not being used. When it is being used it goes away just as fast as the other supers.

The timer is about fifteen seconds. Kills decrease timer 2 seconds. Random slashing decreases timer about one second. Both of you are wrong

Editado por AdunSaveMe: 12/17/2014 4:00:51 PMehhh numbers are dumb anyway Also, I haven't seen many hunters without Mask of the Third Man
-
It gives massive damage reduction and obliterates anyone that isn't half a mile away from you. It takes at least four people to take one down and you can't run away.
-
You are so wrong it borders on absurd. But have fun with that. Also, you can see him jump in the air and power up. Then you can see him coming towards you. You have ample time to take him down or escape. All of which he is vulnerable. What you don't do is stand there like an idiot with your team in close quarters and allow him to dance his way through your party. You get no shield boost. If you activate at 50 percent shield you have 50 percent shield. If you get shotgunned in the face, you die. Rocket or grenade, you die. A hunter can appear to be invincible because one of his skills allows him to heal if he kills it arcblade. The counter for that is not to stand there with your group like an idiot. At this point, I'd love for them to nerf the ever loving hell out of blade dance. It is beyond useless in pve since there is no shield or damage reduction buff. It's a ohko by anything better than a regular mob. It requires loss of ranged ability, and doesn't hit hard enough to do any good. The hunters I know use blade dancer for arc grenades for burns and invisibility, not our instant die button. At least in pve. In pvp it is useful until you get shot during your animation, or picked off mid dance. Nevermore the fact the only people I can one hit are lower level than me and less geared. Everyone else it is a shot to drop shields then a shot to drop health. That's why dancers pick off already damaged targets. I'll gladly trade it for an instant ae nuke ala warlock or Titan. The hunter supers are weak overall. In pve they don't have the stopping power to be truly clutch abilities. In pvp, they require skill to use as they must be aimed and still remain defensive enough to actually use. Golden gun does little damage to anything of note and can't critical. It requires manual aiming and the hunter can be killed before even getting a shot off. Blade dance is the same way.

Editado por AdunSaveMe: 12/17/2014 2:53:36 PMExcept that's wrong. You can't run, because they can spam melee and get you anyway. You can't fly away, cos they can spam melee in midair and get you anyway. You can't shoot them down UNLESS THEY ARE FAR AWAY because they can spam melee and close the distance quickly. And they do have damage reduction. It's so god damn easy to see. As an example, Mark of the Devourer can go from 7 damage per second to 3. Headshots go from 80 to 40. Close range shotgun blasts are almost impossible because of their melee dash and latency both on your end and their end. Everything you said relies on the hunter being in an open area at a reasonable distance. Not around corners or in corridors like on MOST MAPS IN THE GAME. Also, skill? Underpowered? What a load of crap. Golden Gun can just hand you three to four kills on a silver platter because of its range, its hitscan and the auto aim built into the game. Most Warlock and Titan supers will net you a whole ONE KILL. Two if you're lucky. If they're grouped up, it's easier, but then if they're grouped up it's easy for a bladedancer, too. They just have the bonus of not NEEDING people to be grouped up. Grenades don't kill them. Shotguns were explained. rockets won't kill them unless you hit them in the face. And good -blam!-ing luck if they've got the health restore ability. Anyone slightly competent WILL get kills with arc blade. It allows almost no room for counterplay.

We will agree to disagree. Since you are completely wrong, we will just have to.
-
Right. I'm wrong just cos you say so. Whatever, kiddo. I've got better things to rant about.
-
You are wrong. Get good brah lol
-
Sure do love all the points you made to counter the facts I stated.
-
That's cause your 'facts' are total nonsense. Boom
-
Arc blade gives damage reduction - fact You can spam melee to close distance - fact It doesn't rely on enemies being grouped - fact
-
You're an idiot - fact
-
Guess you can't form a proper argument. Have fun, kiddo ;p
-
Yawn.....

Editado por Somebari: 9/23/2014 4:36:40 PMYou can't tell your team because there is no chat unless in the same fireteam

False. They added team chat you can jump into in strikes and crucible a month ago
