To all people farming the Earth Hive Spot
Please stop being rude. Let me clarify something so we can all enjoy this spot while it is still available.
1. Back up. If you are standing next to the rocks by the ship, you are too close. You need to be right where the World Event spawns to be efficient.
2. Stop being dicks. Share the spot. It doesnt matter who kills it. as long as you are in the area you can get drops. No need to melee or step in front of someone.
3. Don't go in for ammo. If you run out, stand still for 30 seconds and your primary ammo will replenish. Go get something to drink. The less time you spend picking up ammo the more chance you have of a drop.
4. Take breaks! This can be tiring. If you are tired and others are there, just go do something else. It will stop you from being anxious and let others farm efficiently.
5. Pay attention to gestures. If you see someone walk in front of you and point back, it means you are messing up the spawn, or you are doing something wrong. People don't take time to do this without reason. Don't just stand there. When I see someone too far up, I point first at them, then towards the back. Just try to pay attention to what others are telling you.

5 RespuestasEditado por SHAD0WEN: 9/19/2014 7:07:12 PMi got my shadow prince from that cave ^_^. on average you'll be looking at 57 green drops, 17 blue drops and 3-5 purple drops an hour. hell I did no strikes and just did the world events that spawn there and already my marks are maxed for the week. side note i got my exotic hunter gloves there too. ...........took me 7 hours to get it.

1 RespuestaThe best thing about this thread is that people are complaining about farming and to counter this waste of time very legitimate way of getting loot, they sit/dance in the cave and do... Nothing? That is a much more retarded idea, why waste your time just to piss people off? Is this why you people are angry? Do you not have any decent gear because you spend all of your time sitting in one spot and doing naff all? For people who play a social shooter, meant to be enjoyed together in whatever way a person wants... most of you are dicks.

Farm in private. Hate when im in a fireteam and people are sitting around -blam!-ing up the spawn. I farm in private for regard of others.

It's the only thing that makes this game feel... Social. Almost every time I go to that area someone is there farming; and I join in. Soon after more people join, and before you know it 6 people are farming. Several people have invited me to their parities/fireteams and I've made new friends, got tons of gear and leveled up my Cryptarch. I'm finally enjoying Destiny. Well, I've always enjoyed it, I guess I'm just enjoying it even more. Please don't patch. :)

number 5... i do the point then squat, squat, squat meaning ur in my way please squat. have u been hit by the big swarm that comes from behind? whats up with that i got caught in it twice its crazy fun its like u get stuck in the middle of a warzone! gives u a break from farming too but i advise when it happens run to the cave and collect i had a shit load of engrams 1 time and most of them vanished after that... prolly cuz that battle had me all over the place so i prolly reset it by traversing to far away to save my ass hahaha

15 Respuestasconsidering i have about 100x more luck making a circle around said area killing all the mobs, looting chests and picking up spinmetal (which is also in chests) and turning in the spinmetal for vanguard / curcible marks, getting engrams from the chests and enemies instead of just farming the cave, i find the fact that people are just sitting there kinda pointless over all. can get glimmer cap 100+ spinmetal and lots of blue / purple engrams in about 30-45 min as opposed to 2-3 hours

Most of the negative comments are obviously coming from people who have never played a pc mmo nor a console rpg. Farming is as necessary as healing items in these genres. Any one remember Final Fantasy? The very first NES version had areas and bosses you couldn't fight with out farming, much less afford the equipment. I choose not to farm in games that I don't feel it is necessary , Destiny being one of them , but to each their own. Some people don't have hours to spend Patrolling or Striking repeatedly. I'm sure they feel farming is the only way to keep up. Seeing as the Iron Banner is the only place it will matter (1 weekend a month btw) , what's the big deal. For those that don't realize , in regular Pvp , all weapon and powers damage are equalized....ie , 1 shotgun is as good as the next , 1 pulse rifle is as good as the next. Only difference is which upgrades your weapon has.

3 RespuestasThe chance of legendary drops are slim, and even then the chance of it decrypting into a legendary are slim, so whats the harm? Everytime I have been to the cave, everyone has known what to do, we worked as a team with no communication except gestures, probably the most social part of the game.

First and foremost, it took me a minute to realize people were farming the spawns. Its part of my route when I chest farm in front of last array, especially when the bounty for 2+ fusion rifle kills is available, and I use the low level hive spawns for that reason. That being said, I farm those five or so fallen right before the golden chest leading into the archive area that everyone goes through yo farm the vex vs fallen spot. Gets me heated when people linger in that area, throws off my spawns, but I dig it.

Watch netflix. 4. run in and loot every so often. footnotes: make sure you move around every 5 minutes or so as to avoid getting logged out check your screen at :00 and :30 of every hour. the warsat will fall down and flatten you. you may take some physical abuse from some of the farmers meleeing you in the face. chin up and stand tall.

8 Respuestas7. Sit or dance in front of the cave entrance. This will prevent enemies from spawning and piss off and other players in the area, making them rage quit and giving you a monopoly over the farming spot.
