Your welcome. Us new fans who believe in true randomness appreciate what's been happening. This coming from the guy who never gets a good drop.

  • Look - I really suck at console games, but I try to remember that they are just games. I don't know all the tactics for racking up kills in Crucible, nor do I love hand controllers - old PC guy (seems I get one-shotted regularly!),but I still go in there and get slaughtered for the few measly kills. I did a strike mission on the moon to kill Phagora or whateverthefrak it's name was,and true to form had a tough time. Took a lot more time that I expected! But when it ended - I felt good. There is a whole culture of young people who grew up in consoles and have a COD deathmatch win at all cost attitude, exploit everything ftw. Well, I'm pushin' 60,and just want to have some downtime fun. Just enjoy it for what it is. There is a distinct lack of zen like approach to modern gaming! That's fine, it won't change my enjoyment - I'll just be dead more! But to each his own. Enjoy - that is - if you can!

  • It makes me cringe knowing that someone who is almost 60 is more ignorant than i am. I fail to see how people fear for future generations of people when theirs is far from perfect.

  • WTF?? Your reply is without merit or context. You know nothing of the lives of others, yet presume to call people ignorant... While your usage is congruent with the definition, you fail to realize that gaming 'knowledge' is a specious thing in and of itself.

I'm 33 and in today's gaming environment, I often feel that I may as well be 60 since many players seem to act about half of their age anyway. I play for fun. I pretty much suck at Crucible and being colorblind doesn't help. Due to that, I pretty much just play Rumble so I don't have to worry about knowing who is on my team and who isn't (I can't really see the red outline and in the heat of the moment, I'm not usually going to remember a random PSN name). Point being, even though I suck, it's still fun. I have one legendary weapon and IIRC, I didn't get it from PVP. I don't really remember getting much good stuff from PVP except glimmer and some armor upgrades (all Rare or below). I'm basically playing just to get some status with FWC. My point being, what happened to playing games for fun? I don't need to have better gear and weapons than everyone else, and I don't need to be the top scorer. I don't begrudge the others that are better than me and have better stuff (or people that are worse than me and have better stuff, for that matter). I just want to enjoy myself through experiencing the game itself. Hell, most of the time when I die in PVP, I get a good chuckle out of it. Some people take this kind of thing too seriously.
