Ok. People keep misreading and thinking I'm saying I can't win when I was merely stating an observation... So nothing to see here, move along.

4 RespuestasBefore you start up a playlist, perhaps you should read it's description first. It clear to says in fine print on all of the available playlists "Level Advantages Disabled" A level 5 can meet on equal terms with a level 27. Level advantages enable for the Iron Banner.
-
2 RespuestasYes, higher level chars will have the advantage because of the extra abilities they get through their gear and level. I think that "balanced" is the wrong term when talking about lower level chars in the crucible. Base stats are equalized to give them a fighting chance, but not much more. But is that really that big of a deal? Yesterday I've started a 2nd toon and in 1h 45min he's level 7 already... so even if low level chars have a disadvantage, they''ll be level 20 in next to no time...

3 RespuestasDuring PVP all added bonuses to weapons and armor are disabled except in the Iron Banner
-
4 RespuestasI can agre to disagree but I think it's sort of balanced due to the reduction in damage but it does feel that people are killing me pretty quickly like their weapon damage wasn't reduced at all even with 900 defense plus when you have a small team against a larger team it's impossible to win, I personally reckon people should have less defense the crucible and there should be a mode without a radar.

Iron Banner playlist with the Halo 2 ranking system would fix this PvP in a heartbeat.
-
12 RespuestasThe only thing that annoys me and what I think needs to be changed is that auto rifle's are way too dominant. I really like to use pulse rifle's but I feel at a disadvantage using anything other than an auto. Just my opinion.
-
There is no lvl advantages so... U just suck
-
5 RespuestasPvP should just be abandoned. The crucible is one of the worst FPS outings ive seen.

2 RespuestasAim for the head.

12 RespuestasEditado por I LEFT CAPS 0N: 9/15/2014 8:59:54 AMI don't remember them ever saying the PvP was going to be "balanced", just that level advantage will be disabled except for Iron Banner events.

3 RespuestasEditado por D0uBLeKiLLBiLL: 9/15/2014 7:47:21 PMAll added bonuses to weapons and armor are disabled in Crucible. I played last night with a full 6 man fire team in Crucible and we didn't lose one match. One of our members was hesitant to play PVP for the reason you stated because he was level 10 and the rest of us were all 20 or higher but because advantages from gear are disabled, it is in fact balanced and my low level friend had a great time. The only thing that is different between a level 5 and a level 25 is the amount of access one has to the abilities in their subclass tree. If you are having a bad time in the Crucible just keep practicing, you'll get better. I was yelling at my TV the first day or so I was playing the Crucible but after a bit of practice I was starting to have fun. Also having a few friends or even a whole 6 man fire team with comms is recommended. Plus, you can still get legendary and exotic drops from the Crucible so don't lose hope just yet.

2 RespuestasThe damages is capped to balance it out regardless or level/weapons. The stats on the other hand are rewards for earning the gear you get. Find some gear with better mods instead of damage and practice. You can't be great at everything, some of us will never crush it at pvp. I'm more for a tier system where we're paired by skill. Higher k/d players play each other and lower/lesser skilled against each other. You could rank up by raising you k/d and go up a tier or get dropped a tier if it gets too low. Those hardcore obsessed with pvp can annihilate each other while the casuals have fun without getting too serious.

4 RespuestasYou realize level advantages are disabled in PVP. I can pull out my rank 16 (142 attack) AR an get 29 damage with headshots, an my level 20 (242 attack) AR only does 2 more damage in multiplayer. It isn't exactly even, there are differences in weapons. But they have put everybody on a even plateau. If it was the Iron Banner those level 5's would get murdered by a level 18 an up. I suggest you don't bother with Iron Banner when it drops in October because that's the real fun, where exotic's an legendary's will really matter.

6 RespuestasOnly the gun and armor perks give an advantage. The damage has no effect just like armor rating.
-
5 Respuestas1, way to be ignorant. I have a level 5 and level 12 copperhead shotgun. The level 5 is better for pvp. The damage rating of 75 isn't factored in. Neither is the defense stat. Due to a weapon perk 2. Class stats are factored in. Such as Titan codex IV 3. The only advantages are weapon and gear perks such as kill bonuses/grenade throw distance. Those can be found on at at least all uncommon gear in the level 10 range, give or take.
-
1 Respuestai have two tips for you 1. The Shingen-E (will outgun any legendary anything) 2. Get some gunskill
-
The crucible is balanced. You just lack skill. The iron banner(isn't out till later this month/early next month) is where all of your defense and weapon stats will matter.
-
1 RespuestaThis is why we need a ranked playlist, so people can be match accordingly. Or like an Elo system
-
It is balanced. All players have a base health of 200. All guns do the same damage too. A level 5 scout rifle does the same as a level 20 one in PvP. Just depends on the impact, which adds more damage. It is balanced with weapons and gear. Although a level 5 would have a disadvantage versus a level 20 because they wouldn't have as many abilities in their subclasses.
-
Guise think of it this way An uncommon at level 20 (or 18 since they don't go that high) has an attack power of about 200 and a legendary at max has an attack rating of 300. That on top of the Defense and stat bonuses of higher level characters it can be quite unfair.
-
2 RespuestasTried explaining this to people....call me a -blam!-ing idiot. Just don't jump into the Crucible until you're ready.
-
4 RespuestasThe abilities from armour do affect you in pvp, I've just done a match with no extra strength and then a match with the maximum extra i could put on my character and my throwing knife (strength affects speed of cool down) cooled down alot quicker, this plus the amount of abilities a level 24 odd character would have over a level 15 character would give him a massive advantage. A certain level of skill comes into it obviously, but there is an advantage of having a higher level character
-
3 Respuestas
Pvp can never be balanced if Bungie doesn't disable the gear perks. Pvp was SUPPOSEDLY designed so a lvl 5 could meet a lvl 25 on equal terms. That is NOT the case, because the lvl 5 has uncommon weaponry and gear at most, while the lvl 25 has legendary or exotic weapons and gear which provide him with all kinds of advantages: higher damage, less recoil, faster reloading, boosted damage on part of the mag, etc etc. How is that an equal playing field? The higher level will always win because more shots are hitting the target, and those shots are doing more damage as well. I know I will probably be flooded with 'L2P' and 'Get good' and 'Cry Moar' comments. I'm hoping some of you will join this discussion with an open mind and stay polite :)
"I suck at PvP but I refuse to admit it's me. It has to be the game."

I agree with you. One of two things should happen with PvP: 1) PvP is matched by character level. Characters of the same level should have comparable gear, as well as comparable skills. This will solve the problem completely. This would be the ideal change. 2) PvP is 100% normalized. All weapon types function identically, regardless of perks/level ups/etc. An exotic level 20 hand cannon has the exact same stats as a level 1 hand cannon with no stats or perks at all, within the crucible. This will still give higher-level players an advantage, because they have more skills unlocked, and are most likely more experienced with the game. This would be an acceptable change, though not ideal.

4 RespuestasEditado por eclio: 9/17/2014 9:19:15 PMWell....I've taken level 2 characters into PvP and managed to get first place against level 25's more than once, so....not certain what your talking about. Granted, I have a habit of restarting new characters...but that means my skill with hand cannon head shots keeps improving anyway. Even if my levels, gear and powers are restarted, I'll still do well. It doesn't always work out, but I can't complain that someone is better then me when it's clearly because they've played a lot more, know the maps, work better with their team, etc.
