Having luck based around Strange coins is ridiculous. The weekend vendor had items on sale for 23 strange coins. Ive been playing Destiny non stop since launch and i have only managed to get 11. I farmed so hard the last 24 hours and yet every blue engram i received broke down into a weapon i didn't need. No public events happened for me while i was running around outside. Im not trying to whinge but i put in alot fo work to try and get something off the weekend vendor and it was all out of my control. Now not only have i missed the items i wanted because they will refresh and not only do i now have to wait another week but it also looks like i will need to rely on luck to even get close to 23 coins for one item. Knowing my luck at the moment i will get to 22 and then the vendor will go again. As it stands everything about Destiny once you reach 24+ is all luck based. Im yet to receive a single legendary item. The only one i got broke down into a mote of light. Ive farmed for hours , done PVP and PVE all day and yet im still getting no drops. Im even doing all the bounties and not getting any special ones from there. I literally might aswell not even play the game if this carries on. Destiny has rapidly gone from fun to a chore within a day for me. /Rant. Sorry guys for the negativity but im really frustrated at the moment , any advice on how to boost my luck , or tips on something ive overlooked will be welcomed. Thanks. You saw i mentioned coins and decided to go off on a rant about self entitled gamers lol. I clearly mention im trying to gain gear to rank up and farm for coins in highe levels. I would farm for strange coins, id redo the strike all day everyday if it gave the option like many mmos do to farm for what you want. Thats the whole point. With the game being based on luck no amount of farming i do can promise ill get the coins i deserve to balance with the work i put in. I could farm for 24 hours straight, recieve 100s of blue engrams and get no coins, i could also farm for 10 mins and get 2. i love mmos and i love putting in work so all that "self entitled " nonsense your spewing wont wash here. Take it to another thread. I wanted one item off of the vendor not all of them. I saw the vendor, saw what marks i needed and went off to farm for them but unlike other mmos, farming wont help unless your lucky. My mistake for taking destiny as a traditional mmo. I wont expect anything like that again. As for people saying do the harder levels of the weekly. Id love to if i was getting the gear i needed to level up. I received my second legendary engram earlier and it turnt into a blue lv16 weapon lol. Anyways ive taken on advice from those willing to give it and will buy a faction item and raise the vangaurd rank to buy gear that way. The long way, the way i like. To farm and grind as an mmos meant to be. No luck involved within the first few days from launch. As for those telling me the goods you bought from vendor. Good on you. Ill get mine once ive earned it. Thanks again.
