I kept hitting trigger in order to attack with it.
Then my second time going through the mission, I melee-ed by accident and totally discovered that I could hack and slash with it. Derp.

Ahaha. Same thing happened to me. I was constantly smashing the ground and jumping away, rinse and repeat 20x. Was a lot more fun when I found the 3 swing combo.

O_O I am such a moron. I never thought to melee... I have to go question all the terrible decisions I've made in my life. Why didn't I think to melee?!

Can also use your super with it.

Yup, it had its own super that would recharge a lot faster.

if u jump just high enuff and then swing you get a super smash
