Since Destiny hasn't brought anything new to the table, how can we change the FPS genre? What can be added to change things up?

Take Shadowrun, and give it more than just a 'Counter-strike' type gamemode to play. Give Shadowrun a gamemode with unlimited respawning. Take a Game like Destiny and make it more than just an FPS with transitions. Let players actually fly that space-ship for themselves, and have FPS dogfights in space. Ie. You want to bring something new the the FPS genre. Make it more than just a shooter. But keep it in First Person perspective. Destiny is just another generic FPS once you get down to it. Refer to games like Deus Ex, System Shock, etc. for tips on how to make a fleshed out world that is worth paying attention too. Oh and also pay attention to How Titanfall was able to add AI to multiplayer matches with Grunts and Spectres... This kind of stuff is where FPS needs to head towards. Making Multiplayer maps feel alive with action instead of the bore of just 16 people fighting a war. Make Multiplayer look like an actual war taking place. If you look back at games like some of those LotR games that came out, they became boring real quick... why? Because if you're gonna have a game based on the old ways of fighting hand to hand. You need more than just 8v8 to flesh out that encounter. When you watched LotR, how many orcs were climbing up that ramp to batter down the gate? It wasn't just 8 it was hundreds. I want to see an FPS Multiplayer battlefield that can provide an actual battle that is unfolding. And the most recent example of even attempting this has been Titanfall. Olders examples may include Star Wars Battlefront. Even Turok tried the AI in Multiplayer idea. So... that leaves us with Planetside 2. But guess what... Planetside to feel like shit to play. The aiming fights against you the entire time, the movement fights against you the entire time. You end up thinking more about the controller and how it's responding to your inputs than the actual game. This is the one area where Halo and CoD succeded. It made me forget the controller because it just felt right.
