**Update** A lot of people are saying it has to do with my skill and I wouldn't disagree with you all if every player was the same level and had the same exact skills unlocked and I was getting my ass handed to me. I DO get my ass handed to me in these games since I'm not very good at PvP. That wasn't the point of my rant. I'm level 22 now and I see all the stuff I unlocked has given me an edge against lower level players that can't avoid my upgraded skills but they CAN still take me out. They can't take me out however, when I am running at them full speed and using my Titan rush (not sure of name) ability to dash into and kill them with one hit. They can't take me out if I use my super to give me and my team an overshield even after leaving the defensive shield my super generates. They can't take me out head-on with the same kind of gun if I have upgrades that let me reload mine way faster. All that said, being leveled up is when PvP becomes a lot of fun since it no longer seems unfair and unbalanced. I still get my ass handed to me but now I know it's based on skill and not upgraded abilities.
**ORIGINAL RANT**
I don't even know what to say... I am really enjoying the campaign and free roam stuff and had been enjoying the PvP up until yesterday. I just finished playing 2 separate PvP matches with my friends who are around level 10 and we got utterly destroyed by the opposing team who were around level 22 - 25 simply because the MP is so disgustingly unbalanced that nothing we did to them short of using our supers, was enough to kill them. I shot several players in the face with the shotgun pointblank and barely took down their f***ing shield. I don't get angry when a game is fair and balanced and I get my ass handed to me. This was something entirely different. My friends who are much better at PvP than me were getting killed so quickly that we had to quit mid-game because it was just a joke. What the hell happened to the Bungie that made one of the most incredibly balanced and long-lasting games we know today? The old Bungie is not this Bungie and it really bums me out. In fact, this pisses me off so much that even when I reach level 20 and beyond, it will be hard for me to want to play their utterly broken 'Crucible' ever again. What the hell, Bungie? I thought everything was supposed to be balanced no matter what level you were or what damage/defense level you were at. Apparently not...
Has anyone else had any experiences like mine?

6 RespuestasEditado por Textually Harass: 9/12/2014 11:17:55 PMI find that its actually so bad...that its good. Im a competitive perso so naturally i get a little carried away when it comes to some games. But destiny pvp is just soooo silly and unbalanced that its impossible to take seriously. Which makes it kinda fun. Dont get me wrong though, id take h2 or h3 mp over it annnny day.

1 RespuestaA fantastic example of humanity and the human mind, to the OP the only possible explanation what so ever has to be the game is broken, to their mind it is completely impossible for them to simply not be as good as the think they are. hilarious and yet the mindset is so common that it's really quite disheartening, as gamers we're the ones that are supposed to be the open and clinical minds.

1 RespuestaAm I the only one who made my new guardians(lvl2-4) run around the crucible with a hand cannon and thought it was fun use the terrain dodge stay away from the big purple bubble sure u might die a tad bit more often but when u put a couple rounds into a lvl27 guardian and knife em in the face the sense of achievement is quite rewarding

1 RespuestaIt is frustrating at lower levels. Maxing out class skill trees goes a long way in pvp it also helps you to learn how to play your class properly.
-
2 RespuestasNot to be rude, but it sounds like they're just better than you. The game does a decent job balancing, just yesterday I was being killed by players level 5 and up in the crucible and I'm a 23. Before you go off stating I'm terrible you can check my recent games and see I'm not so stop. That said it's all practice

1 RespuestaIm Level 7. At lvl 5 I managed to pwn a team with 5 level 22-24s and 1 level 18. Baring in mind I came first in my team with a 700 point gap ^_^ I wouldnt say its unbalenced tbh

1 RespuestaOuch. Those K/D numbers sting. But let's talk about this. You're level 11. You're scratching the surface of your character build. You're still four levels away from being able to even consider switching your subclass. In short, you're a work in progress. There are organized teams in the crucible that are level 20. They've tweaked their builds for PvP and have weapons with mods you haven't even seen yet. They have the advantage. This isn't a case of poor game balance. It's one of you having quite literally about half the character progression they have. Stick with it and you'll be on an even playing field soon enough.

I don't think it's the PVP I think it's the matchmaking system. There are several times I'll play an the opposing team is stacked while my team has some lower levels. While I agree the MP isn't perfect, you can't approach it like COD which is why I think a lot of people find themselves upset about it.

1 RespuestaHow much multiplayer have you payed on other games FSP's? How do you fare? I am lvl 14 and have been doing great. K/d over 1 Yet in COD Ghost (x1) I'm a .72. And BO2 .84 Yet I still have inferior equipment. I think a lot of people are just not used to PvP and have an inflated idea of how good they are. Yes lvls/ equipment make some difference ,but faster reload and shorter cool downs aren't the reason you are losing individual gun battles.

3 RespuestasSigh Dear OP, In current pvp modes level advantages are disabled. If you are literate it says so when you select what mode you would like. Therefore your arguement is invalid and get used to pvp or continue quitting. Dear OP GG

1 RespuestaI'm also having those problems. Some lvl 20 asshats against me, an innocent lvl 13 guardian.

I haven't noticed a significant difference as far as gear is concerned. It seems to be more about player skill than what they have equipped as I'm almost level 24 and I still get stomped by level 5 players who are just getting their feet wet. Armor ratings and damage mean nothing as they are balanced, sure you might get a gun with special properties but not enough to ruin the game. Personally I'm feeling the opposite about multiplayer, I think it's great. Grinding out Vanguard ranks for gear is more of a chore to me, playing multiplayer is fun and I'd rather do that.
-
Yeah, I'm not having that problem. I suck at PvP, and I lose quite a few matches, but even then, I still win a couple when the other side is clearly not playing up to snuff. I'll know when PvP is unbalanced when my win:lose ratio is somewhere above 1, lol.

i loved the timed gamemode scavange its so fun and i really good at it TBH
-
No, I've enjoyed the PvP ever since Alpha. Maybe get some skill?
-
5 RespuestasUmm you do realize that damage and armor values are levelled in the crucible right? Meaning their better gear played no part in you getting stomped.
-
Just wait until iron banner events.. You're going to hate those when your armor and weapon rating play a huge role in survival.
-
I hate to say it but in lv20 still get my ass handed to me by guys around lv3-4 and up they were that good man they were that good

Your gun will still have a bigger magazine and possible a faster rate of fire when you are high level with good loot. It will also have additional bonuses, some of which can be very powerful. Level certainly does matter with gear and skills carrying over, but if you find a decent gun you can compete. I recommend a Shingen (something like that) Autofifle. It's accurate and will be effective at any level.
