Why do people still drink alcohol and do drugs in this day and age?
I can get drinking alcohol in the 20th century, we weren't nearly as collectively intelligent back then. But why do people these days, and kids especially, insist on wasting their lives by doing drugs and alcohol?? For Christ's sakes, people are actually pushing for marijuana to be legalized on a federal scale! (not even going to bring up that total failure of the legal system in Colorado and Washington) Our society is just getting more and more corrupt as these dangerous chemicals are getting accepted. I remember when you couldn't even get a job if you smoked marijuana.
If you do any kind of drug or drink booze regularly, you're an idiot. I get messing up every now and then, but it shouldn't be a lifestyle. And if you're addicted, please go to a rehab clinic and get help. People like you are only holding our country back.

I smoke pot and drink. Sure. I used to do a LOT of both in excess, but that got boring. Ever played a game while stoned? It's pretty damn fun. In games like Skyrim, or as I call it, Highrim, you can really get immersed into the game. It's not a requirement, but it is an option. You know, the United States of America was founded on individual freedoms. Some very common laws to follow, but otherwise, be left alone. Today, we attack people of different genders, different sexual orientations, different religions, different denominations of the same religion, different classes, different political parties, different opinions, different styles - -blam!-, we hate people who aren't carbon copies of ourselves. What the -blam!- is up with that? Why does it matter so much if I or any other law-abiding citizen sits in the privacy of their home, smokes whatever they want, -blam!- whoever they want, and act however they want? Oh, by the way, Gr8 B8 M8 I R8 8/8.

6 RespuestasEveryone is different. Don't make assumptions based off those who are more visible or vocal. Some people don't drink alcohol to get waisted. Some drink it to appreciate art of chemistry. Microbrews and wines are something I enjoy trying. Marijuana is something else I'll stand behind. There are some Pulitzer Prize winners who enjoy it. President George Washington used to grow it. It was originally thrown into a prohibition by a campaign of some very conservative people, not because of any dangerous effects. There are some drugs out there obviously bad for you. But marijuana is about the same level as alcohol as far as severity. Don't let smokeymcsmoke420 give it a bad name. Some of the most intelligent people in history have been known to do it. It just takes a couple bad eggs to give it a bad reputation. Just like gamers in the media's eye sometimes. Now it's fine if you don't agree or like it. Everyone is different, grown up in different environments, and believe in different things. So I wouldn't recommend labeling someone as wrong or a bad person until they've given you a reason to.
