How do y'all like these weapons since the patch? Are hand canons viable now? Are they similar to scout rifles? Planning out my destiny for tomorrow.

The hand cannon is like an entirely different weapon since the beta it is so sweet and u can get precision shots so much easier I play as a hunter and I swear it never leaves my primary weapon slot unless i find a pretty sweet scout rifle to pair it with its a great class of gun (=

I love the hand cannon. ;)

2 RespuestasI love hand cannons now, 2 head-shot kills in PvP ftw. Scout rifles have the range advantage, but on anything close to mid I have been better off with pistol.
-
Scout rifle for PvE, neither for PvP

1 RespuestaNot really sure if this is been said yet but I haven't bothered to check either so for what it's worth here's my two cents. First of all the handcannon is great now that they've busted however, da munition count still sucks. I wish they would increase it by three or four rounds however that's not really my call. I do like the Scout rifles they're so much better than the auto rifle in my honest opinion.
-
Hand Cannons all the way. The one I'm using right now is just amazing for a rare. It has an extra range perk so I'm able to deal full damage to things at ranges you would normally use a Scout Rifle for. Add in the very high impact and it kills everything short of shielded or major enemies in one hit, sometimes even without a precision shot.
-
Hand Canon's are way better than the Scout Rifles.

Editado por CjNoir187: 9/12/2014 5:18:50 AMHave played the entire game with just hand cannons and a sniper riffle as back up no scout, auto only once or twice total and I'm loving it lol

2 RespuestasI started using a hand cannon a few hours ago and been rocking it ever since. I've only found uncommon hand cannons and pulse rifles so my experience thus far has been limited. I used scout rifles almost exclusively in the Beta primarily going for headshots, and now it seems hand cannons are good for the same role, if not better, the damage seems way upped, I just did a moon mission on hard (lvl10 mission I was lvl9) but you can one shot everything bar knights and shielded mobs.

Scout rifle. The handgun waznt good it's damage or rate of fire should be higher

1 RespuestaConsider the nerf of scout rifle impact and a similar buff to hand cannon the HC has found its spot as a close range high impact weapon, I use one to compliment my sniper rifle and find the combo to be great, at least in PvE, can not speak for PvP.
-
I only use Hand cannons, Snipers and Auto Rifles. In that order. HC and Snipers for PvE Auto Rifles and Snipers for PvP. :)
-
I've been using a hand cannon exclusively since release despite using a scout rifle all through the beta. Hand cannon definitely seems to have gotten a reasonable buff, but I do feel as though ny scout rifle is rather lackluster now.. I'm hoping this will change if I can find a green one. They're my favorite gun for all situations. I found the hand cannon harder to get consistent head shots due to recoil and the relatively small sight.

3 RespuestasHC all the way. Headshot magnets. Took a little adjust period in pvp ,but when you get it down it destroys.
-
2 RespuestasThey got the pulse rifles perfect. I was still luke warm on the common grade ones, but every green-level weapon I've gotten has been a beast. What the PRs *should* have been. I think the SRs got a *little* too much of a haircut, imo. It seems to take an extra round each time to put down an enemy. Haven't tried the HCs....
-
HC is better than SR in basically every situation now. Kind of bums me out cause SR was my favorite. I've been trying to keep using it, but HC is better.

1 RespuestaScout rifles are great if you can land back to back headshots after the first shot, but I personally switched from the beta scout rifle to the hand canon on release. It does do more damage but suffers from a shorter range, but the hand canon is less punishing for those that can't land consistent headshots outside of the first shot. Scout Rifle - Better DPS, missed shots aren't as punishing, and better range + accuracy. Hand Canon - Better damage per shot, less zoom which is a benefit for close quarters, and more reactive. (At least mine is, found one with a perk that allows it to "fire with less pull on the trigger".)

I still prefer the Scout above all. Strong, fast and precise. And with the right gear, I can beat the auto rifle in RoF
