I doubt anyone can answer this question definitively, but I was wondering how long it will take to reach the level cap, both soft and hard level caps. I imagine it will be easier to reach the level 20 soft cap and harder to reach the level 30 hard cap with Light.

1 RespuestaThe beta and alphas leveling speed were tripled so that players could hit max fast and see what the higher levels have to offer, another interesting fact, rare items like strange coins etc. were much easier to obtain to show off as many items as possible. I would guess 30, look up Nine-Box, he is the highest I've seen at level 26.

At the rate that most bungie employees are hitting it, I'd say it will take you between 1-3 days to hit level 20, depending on how much you play each day. However, after that, level 30 will be much more difficult to get to. You are going to have to keep doing missions and strikes until you either find nice loot or get enough materials/xp to buy some good faction gear. All of the work required to get to 30 will probably take several weeks, minimum. Even after that, you still have 2 subclasses to completely unlock. By the time you hit lvl 20, you have a little over half of your first subclass unlocked (assuming you did not switch to the 2nd). Meaning there is a long road ahead of you for obtaining all of your skills. In short, hitting level 20 means nothing in the long run. As stated by Deej, lvl 20 is when your adventure is just beginning.

But what if bungie employees get a bonus xp?

ONE WEEK

Editado por Kuromugi: 9/8/2014 4:05:46 AMThe alpha was XP boosted, the beta wasn't. They dodge all the beta XP boosting questions and only said that "players were given access to things earlier than they would be in the retail release." Level 20 in less than 12 hours. If you're dedicated, maybe even as low as 8. And from there, it all depends on gear. There are already a bunch of Bungie employees and friends who were past level 20 in less than 12 hours.

Less than or about two days of racked up game time.

7 RespuestasWell, we've seen players with level 32. There has been no confirmation on level cap. Yet. As for time, I dunno, I think a solid playstyle, tackling bounties and story missions could potentially net you level 20 within a day.

before day 1 is over should hit 20, ill worry about rest later

1-20 is introduction to the mechanics if Destiny. After 20, Destiny opens up and you get the real experience. What you should be asking is "How long until I am happy with my character"
probably 12-24 hours if you focused solely on leveling.
Editado por Daaaah Whoosh: 9/8/2014 1:32:00 AMLet's say it takes seven hours to get to level 10, based somewhat on the Beta times. Then it's going to take at least that, probably twice that, to get to level 20. Thus, I'm going to say no less than 20 hours to reach max level, not counting all that high-level gear stuff. But for the average user, I'd guess at least 30.
