I need help involving a dog.

OK, so, my dad brought this small dog, not too sure what breed. Anyways, yes, he just randomly brought a dog, along with his bed and food? He and my mom both want him outside, but I'm saying he has to go inside. He's too small to be outside 24/7. I keep saying to give him a chance to be inside but my mom's all like "no i don't like dogs in the house" and I'm trying to tell her that he won't be a good fit for the backyard, and to keep him in my room. Anyways can you help me? I'm honestly worried for that dog if he stays outside, and my other dog needs to be outside and not in a confined space, and I think that he and the new dog will not get along together. some help / advice would be appreciated EDIT: uhh I don't think this is gonna work I would rather give the dog away if it means staying out like 24/7 and not letting my other dog roam EDIT 2: OK so now I wanna tell my mom what I said above (rather give it away) but of course she's been on the phone for like a million years EDIT 3: okay so i told her I'm going to keep bothering her with that until she does because like I said I don't want it to be outside like forever

  • Dogs are incredibly social animals that relate to other dogs and to humans as "my pack". If you isolate the dog outside full-time, he will not bond with anyone in the family and will be (to one extent or another) socially isolated which many dog owners would consider to be at least neglect, if not outright abuse. You mentioned that you have another dog. Will they be together? That would allow at least the two of them to bond and socialize, but they will both be isolated and not attached, bonded or feel as if they are a part of your family or that your family is a part of their pack.
