just for the record on lore...i have played and beat every game numerous times and read most of the books...dont know if you have done more than that but I love halo. I just dont like the myth that Halo fundamentally changed gaming or was the greatest game in all of history on its own...it was popular without question, but wasn't really innovative (few games ever are to be fair). I won't say that Destiny will have the same impact on the industry Halo did because Halo has been around a decade and destiny has yet to even be realeased, also the gaming market is far more watered down now than it was when Halo first came up and there are so many 'clone' games out for people to get that it will be difficult (read impossible) to replicate. (COD is one of the biggest perpetrators of 'trash' games just to push sales for the record). I get that it is a mater of personal preference for you and just to be clear I have no issue with that...myself personally borderlands 2 is the best fps I have ever played and I loved it more even than Halo 3 which was my other favorite...the beta alone gave me enough elements of both that I would probably pay JUST for the Beta...and that is all a matter of opinion and preference and should be left up to the individual. The only other thing I wanted to clear up was my comment about 'best 100'...I was reffering to story and story alone and the biggest reason why I made the comment was that even though Halo has far (FAR) more story than most previous iterations of an fps game...it is barebones at best compared to most rpg's which there are hundreds of. That's actually one of my favorite things halo did though...it made ok for an fps game to have an actual plot and story behind it beyond 'him bad, shoot to kill'.
