Hi guys, I've been wondering about the Blink ability recently (in case you're unaware, the Warlock's Voidwalker and Hunter's Bladedancer subclasses get access to a jump modifier, Blink, that is a short range teleport).
Basically, do we know how this ability works? For example, can you only travel forwards, i.e. where your reticle is pointing is where you will teleport to?
Or is it possible to travel in different directions; for example, if you are strafing left or right, or walking backwards when you use Blink you will teleport in the direction you were moving?
Finally, anyone else thinking that Blink + shotgun will be a very powerful combination? Use Blink to close distance to your enemy very quickly then BLAM!

1 RespuestaThere is a couple clips in the E3 gameplay experience trailer that show it being used. From what we can see, it looks like you blink in the direction you're traveling, and that there is no cool down other than when your feet touch the ground

When you use blink, you sheath you weapon and pull yourself forward, at least for Hunter.

2 RespuestasIn the tree of abilities I thought it said that blink would replace your double jump.... so if it replaces your double jump then you should be able to blink the same way you jump. you can jump back, you can blink back. jump forward, blink forward. jump sideways, blink sideways. at least that's what I think

Editado por SmellyButtocks: 9/3/2014 11:05:01 PMI would prefere something more akin to a biotic charge. That would be fun :D Edit: Totally off topic i know but just had to get it out there.

Hi
spoiler alert
There is a cooldown for blink this is 100% when you go over the blink ability it even says it has a cooldown
-
3 RespuestasIt's most likely a less complex version of Corvo's Blink.

15 RespuestasIve seen it once lol that was a stupid fight he/she kept blinking till i had to reload then shot me lol it was like the name suggests if u mash jump u end up flash 1 place to anougther even went from infront to behind in a flash but u still have to turn after. I think its more of a low health get away move.

No one knows the exact mechanics since we've only saw a few videos that have blink in it. I hear it has a cool down so it can't be constantly spammed.
