Halo mcc won't be as popular as any other big game coming out at its time. The biggest selling point is nostalgia. It's not aiming for a new audience just the audience it once had. Not that it won't be good but a remake for a game probably won't be bigger than a ip with a wider audience than just mainly older halo fans. While I'm on the main subject halo 5's audience is intended to mainly only be older halo fans literally the only thing that's been said is that they're trying to please the old halo fans by going back to basics.

I thought the biggest selling point was getting all the greatest Xbox shooters on a single disc running together on a single unified matchmaking server. What's this about old games being bad? I guess I need to tell all the people who speed run old games, and their millions of viewers on Twitch, that they're not actually enjoying themselves. Thanks for the PSA.

Old games games are bad? You're just putting words in my mouth. The biggest selling point is hey were remaking these games that you loved to play with better graphics. Get your head out your ass.

So hostile. It was obvious sarcasm, calm down bro. Also:
The biggest selling point is nostalgia
Not true, the biggest selling point is the 105 multiplayer maps running in a unified matchmaking at 1080p/60FPS on dedicated servers.
It's not aiming for a new audience just the audience it once had.
This is literally the opposite of the reason this game was greenlit. This game was conceived and produced in order to get all the Halo games on the Xbox One. See, Halo 5 is pretty far in the series, and newcomers are becoming less and less able to jump on without some serious catch up. MCC allows that, while also giving the fans what they want, while also revitalizing the community, while also providing lots of raw data to 343i about what kind of Halo game the majority of its fans want, while also allowing them to give said future buyers a glimpse into Halo 5, which they are working hard to improve. Halo MCC is a very loud and clear message for its developers that they are seriously trying to make Halo better, not some throw away cashgrab that will have no bearing on the future of the franchise.. as a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if MCC is considered the most important Halo game since Halo 2.
While I'm on the main subject halo 5's audience is intended to mainly only be older halo fans literally the only thing that's been said is that they're trying to please the old halo fans by going back to basics.
lolno. Halo 5 is going to be an arena shooter. It might have escaped you, but there are a -blam!- of "CoD Clones" on the FPS market. Practically every game ever has the same "Run, shoot, unlock stuff" gameplay. Halo 4 tried and failed miserably. 343i has realized that Halo is an Arena Shooter, something there is precious little of these days. 343i is appealing to people who don't want to play Call of Duty 39: Modern Warfare 22: Black Ops 15: Advanced Warfare 7: Rise of the Titan Robots 3: Revenge of the CyberSoap.

I see though it wasn't that obvious that it was sarcasm. I agree that 343 is trying to learn from its mistakes and halos audience are those who like a slower pace more skill based shooter, but I still think the main reason mcc is being sold is for those who loved the original halos
