Time will tell. Personally I feel that Destiny's PVP is cheap, hit detection sucks and six times out of 10 two people shooting each other would kill each other, there was no winner. It's not very competitive though I imagine the iron banner could be cool for pitting characters against each other.
With that said the master chief collection simply has more content. One hundred multiplayer maps four games for the price of one a live-action short by Ridley Scott and the Halo five guardians beta which promises to bring Halo back to its original arena style multiplayer. At this point people saying that 343 industries going to continue running Halo into the ground and ruining it are just simply wrong. Technically, and this is something people always ignore, Bungie is the reason why Halo has fallen from grace. They started the trend of loadouts and unequal starts in Halo Reach. They left 343 industries with a franchise that had gone down a path that 343 probably felt obligated to continue on given the precedent that Bungie had established.
To put it bluntly Halo five guardians PVP is going to be more competitive more fair and more balanced than Destiny's going to be. That alone gives Halo longevity that Destiny just doesn't have. Sure Bungie will continue to support Destiny with DLC releases. But in the long run constant releases of DLC and new content is harder to maintain than Halos simple formula of competitive arena style multiplayer.
I don't think the Master chief collection Will really harm Destiny that much. But I don't think Destiny is really going to harm Halo that much. Halo is on the upturn. 343 industries have practically rebuilt themselves with a reworked team and established team and are working from the ground up this time on a new engine. 343 industries are going out of their way to bring Halo back to its arena style multiplayer and it's classic tradition. To any fan of the franchise that is an enticing proposition. And the MCC gives us a glimpse of that future.
I for one will be getting and enjoying both Destiny and the Master chief collection.

Lol MCC doesn't give you a glimpse at what's to come, it's a glimpse at what they are lacking. MCC is nothing more then 343 taking Bungie's babies an giving them a bath an a new diaper. Reach was nothing like 4 , they ruined that all on there own by turning it into a Halo/COD hybrid that very little enjoyed. Love Halo always have, always will. But the franchise should have ended after Reach in my opinion, 343 is a clueless as MS in what there fan base wants. Also hate how 343 comes off with this sort of entitled, that we owe them respect just because they are making Halo games. Respect is earned in this world, not bought or given.
So a short film by acclaimed director Ridley Scott that introduces a pivotal new character, new bookend cutscenes that set up Halo 5 and a month long multiplayer beta designed from the ground up to incorporate feedback nearly a year in advance that shows Halo 5's dedicated arena-styled multiplayer somehow doesn't give us a glimpse of what is to come. Yeah try again.
MCC is nothing more then 343 taking Bungie's babies an giving them a bath an a new diaper. Reach was nothing like 4 , they ruined that all on there own by turning it into a Halo/COD hybrid that very little
You know what the community at large was calling Reach? CoD in space. MLG pros were even calling Reach a disservice to the franchise and blamed Bungie for its downfall. Bungie established the break away from arena styled equal starts multiplayer that MS, in their wisdom in their control, had 343i continue (should be noted that with such a huge monetary investment, MS had massive control over the decisions made for Halo 4; they're to blame as much as 343i for Halo 4). But now, 343i has something they never had during Halo 4: a functioning team. They were understaffed by at least 100 people throughout the development of Halo 4 but now they no longer have that problem. They have an established team with a set, defined goal, which is to return Halo to its arena styled roots.
343 is a clueless as MS in what there fan base wants.
Which is totally why they are running a beta a year before release to gain feedback (something that can't be said for Destiny's beta, which was very nearly out the door) for their dedicated competitive equal-starts gameplay for Halo 5, and have openly admitted to making mistakes in Halo 4 they plan to rectify... I say again: try again. And this time, consider the facts before posting.
Also hate how 343 comes off with this sort of entitled, that we owe them respect just because they are making Halo games. Respect is earned in this world, not bought or given.
And this is the part where you completely lose me as I have no idea where you have gotten that idea from. 343i themselves have been openly humble in their task, repeatedly mentioning how scary it sometimes can be to take on such a beloved franchise. Josh Holmes even says in the Halo 5 Guardians beta vidoc how nerve-wracking it is to be putting a beta out there as you have millions scrutinizing it, but also how exciting it is to be able to work with the community to build a better game. For the record, the forum moderators on Waypoint, strict as they are, are fans not 343i employees, and they've gotten significantly more lax probably as a result of some changes in the lineup. But people openly criticize 343i their all the time, even the mods themselves so this myth that they run a dictatorship over there is simply that: a myth. 343i wouldn't be going so far out of their way to fix the damages done both by Bungie and themselves for the future of this franchise. I love Destiny: It won't be the revolutionary game fanboys like to think it is, but it is a very solid game with a very compelling and interesting universe. It has glaring flaws but it also has glaring successes. I will be playing Destiny right alongside the MCC. The MCC was something the fans asked for. They wanted Halo 2 anniversary and they got it, and more than that they got 4 games for the price of 1, including dedicated servers, an all new modern take on Halo 2's multiplayer mode, new terminals, new cutscenes to tie it all together beautifully rendered CGI cutscenes for Halo 2, a Halo 5 multiplayer beta (which was also asked for), 1080[ 60FPS, and Live for CE, something it never had. 343i have improved all 4 games across the board, this is not merely a repackaging. It's a love letter to the last 10 years of Halo. As a Halo fan I am disappointed you can't appreciate it for what it is.

Editado por MacAttackss: 8/29/2014 3:05:51 PMDo you really think I don't know half of these things you posted. It's a simple marketing ploy to entice people to buy into Xbox One. I already played them an enjoyed them there time has passed. If I had your thought process an philosophies I would still be playing Counter Strike 1.6. Halo is dead, it's time to stop poking the dead horse hoping it's going to get up. Games have there window of opportunities, an that window for Halo has long passed. Like I said before, should have never went past Reach, an personally don't think Bungie wanted to bother with Halo after 3. We all have our own opinions, that is mine. I feel sorry for you if that disappoints you. Because there are millions others that feel the same way I do.

Bungie actually wanted to do Halo 4 at first, but they realized it would take more than one game to tell that story so they went with Reach instead. And yes, MCC is a ploy to entice buyers in buying a One. Same as how Halo 3 was a ploy to get people to buy a 360. But neither MCC or Halo 3 could possibly run on the previous generation console, and for what it is worth, both games are worth it, with MCC having more content than even Destiny itself, 4 games, a movie and a beta for the price of a single game. It's a marketing ploy from MS position, but from the position of 343i and most fans its a huge opportunity. All exclusives are marketing ploys for people to buy that console, this isn't news. Halo has always been a marketing ploy, since day one. It's always been a cash cow franchise and always will be, same as Destiny will be (the number of exclusives and incentives is testament to that). But what you're arguing is from the position of the publisher, if the developer can create something worthwhile out of the executive decisions and marketing ploys made by the publisher then its still a good franchise. And personally I feel a box value of $430.97 (the accumulative total value of the MCC, including every game, Halo CE/A, Halo 2/A, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, every DLC release, and the release price of a typical 90 minute film comes out to about this value, give or take a few dollars) for the price of a single 60 dollar game is value that any fan of the franchise just can't pass up. But that's my opinion. As I said, I will be enjoying Destiny just as well, and spending countless hours on it and MCC equally.

"six times out of 10 two people shooting each other would kill each other" because this never happened in Halo... not to mention, Hit detection probably was off, it was a Beta for god sakes.

Did I say it never did? The times it happened in Halo were exceedingly rare compared to Destiny, which to be honest happened nearly every time two evenly matched player fought each other in a straight up shoot out. Hit boxes were huge, and there was such a massive delay on the kill both players were more likely to kill each other than for their to be a clear victor. Could be a beta issue but it was frequent and ingrained enough to make me question it.
