I personally believe that sun singer is much more of an attack/dps class. Although some skills make it have support attributes it is much more based around damage, boosting your own cool downs, etc.

But, in my opinion, running a DPS Sun Singer wouldn't make nearly as much sense as supplying your ENTIRE TEAM with supers, grenades, and melee recovery. And, if you were looking to attack, I think the void Walker would be far more powerful as far as Area control and DPS. The one hit melee kill on the Pike was kool, but I don't think anyone will want to be that close to a guardian who activates a super any way.
