If you don't like the way they're doing it, how about trying to offer a suggestion? I find it helps you to think about the actual problems they're having, from their perspective.
So how would you implement this? The only ways I can think of involve giving two codes to everyone who buys, one for current-gen and one for last-gen. But this is obviously problematic because people who only want the dlc on one system will sell their second code, and bungie loses (potentially) half of what they would make on the dlc. Can you think of another way to do it?

Many titles on psn have cross buy
-
Didn't know that. As of now I'm still on 360. Never had a ps3 or 4. How does it work?
-
We're sharing the accounts across generations. Would it not be easier to just give the account the access to the DLC? You're going to download the DLCs anyway as soon as you launch the game.. All we're talking about here is licensing, and the way bungie is doing this very shady. Espeically when they said going from gen to gen would be easy
-
Just because you need a patch doesn't mean you have the full dlc. That would be a huge waste of hd space for everyone who doesn't want the dlc.
-
Are you kidding there is no problem with this this is simple for them to fix it's not about coding they just don't want to do it . They said that our account could transfer from last gen to next gen downloadable content is linked to our account so if our account transfers so should our downloadable content
-
But you still need to have the dlc in your hard drive to play, which means you need to download it to both systems. And you will be buying it through psn/xbl, not Destiny. Which means that even if Destiny on your ps3 knows you have the dlc, when you get your ps4 it won't know.
-
And you really think there's no possible solution that they know of. So what if they have to give out new codes to people purchased it after all we did purchase it. Remember when it would take like 6 months for DLC to come out, and now it's out in a month. They're taking pieces of the game that they've already made and holding it back and selling it to us like it's some extra thing. It's all just bull it's been going on for way too long to.
-
It is some extra thing. I'm sure "destiny" has been done for months now, and was being adjusted and tuned and all that. So what do you want the artists and coders and them to do? Sit and do nothing until the game launches?
-
I want them to make the DLC transfer from last gen to next gen
-
-
By giving everyone who buys a ps3 DLC content code a ps4 code as well that's bound and can only be used by that person's account. your account is not bound to your console your account transfers so just give us two codes make sure it's bound to our account so we can't give it away and there's your answer.
-
I'm not sure if that's possible. I've never heard of anyone else doing it. I'm for it if it's possible though.
-
Man there isn't any reason that they're not making it transferable other than they want more money from us you're giving them way too much credit
-
Just because you don't see a reason doesn't mean it isn't there.
-
Oh come on they're making billions off of this there's no need to get double your money for the same content. If Someone's already purchased it on the ps3 they should stay true to their statement that your stuff would transfer over to your ps4. It won't cost them anything.
-
When they said that, they weren't talking about dlc, they were talking about gear. Which they said WILL transfer if you go from a console with dlc to one without it.
-
Not to mention they never specified so clearly they're pulling the wool over our eyes
-
They never specified what, exactly?
-
Editado por MuertoWeirdo: 8/27/2014 12:03:14 AMWhat would and wouldn't be transferred over they only specified this recently after million people pre ordered it
-
I really don't think it's that big of a deal to most people.
-
Yeah because society is so skewed that no one thinks its a big deal to waste money.
-
No, I mean a lot of people aren't going to get dlc on both consoles in the first place.
-
True, it's just separating people further with this social game with no social aspects lol
-
I could give a shit about gear what about the progress of my character all the things that I would get from the d_l_c content
-
That's what I mean. If you earn gear in dlc on your ps3 then go to you ps4 without the dlc, you can still use the gear from the dlc that you earned.
