Serious question. I know a lot of games like this take a lot of dedication and ruin social lives! I've played World Of Warcraft and tons of other MMO's but seemed to just get left behind because I have a full time job and don't get chance to put thousands of hours into these games anymore.
I didn't get chance to play the Beta but have been told by friends it's something really special so I've pre-ordered the Limited Edition but I'm unsure whether to cancel it or not. There are a lot of people on this forum that sound like socially retarded, jobless cretins and if that's the kind of people that'll be playing this game I think I may pass on it...
Advice???
Cheers

Well it's not an MMO, it' a fps with an open shared world. You'll basically be shooting aliens in the face all the time in any PvE mode you do and get loot in return. It has some MMO elements like strikes and a raid. Would you enjoy a game where you constantly shoot things?

Editado por RapidStratos: 8/26/2014 2:25:02 PMOk, here goes. From what I've read I believe I can safely categorise you as a casual gamer, soot all boils down to whether you can mind playing solo or if you have friends to play with. If you have friends to play with you when you are free, the experience will be good for team based missions like its Public Events, Strike Missions and Raid Missions. Solo play is possible, just tougher. You might need to spend some time to make contacts via Bungie.net for some online players. TLDR; it depends on whether you mind playing solo/make new friends online or if you already have friends to play with. Edit: Don't mind the forums. It's on the Internet and that practically defines it's characteristics.

2 RespuestasYou will easily be able to have fun in this game without making it a job or grinding.
-
Come on man everyone is doing it. [Peer pressure]

1 RespuestaNot an mmo you won't get left behind and you will be max level in a few weeks tops
-
The game doesn't require you to play all the time to have fun

1 RespuestaIMO I would get it. Play the game at your own pace and just ignore the juveniles that hang around these forums.

2 RespuestasPersonally if you preordered the limited edition from a gamestop in Manhattan i would say CANCEL IT! Maybe i can very lucky and pick it up. 😆

2 RespuestasWhen I played the beta, I played the first 2 days almost non-stop, and the last two days for about 2 hours so I could see what the game would be like for casual gamers. Most of the stock changes in either 6 hr intervals, or 12 hr intervals, so most people have the same choice of weapons. Sure, the hardcore gamer can level up in a day or two, but that doesn't mean it's any less fun for casuals or people with a job. Just come up with a schedule where you know you'll get lost in the game on your off days, and explore or play campaign on work days.

No. *dude* If he has to ask someone, then it means no. Is like asking me "Are you hungry?" Your hungry dude.. EAT.

2 RespuestasEveryone plays at a different pace, but I'm pretty sure Bungie has tried to emphasize the game type for every mood! A lot of the different game "modes" only take between 10 to 30 mins of your time. Anyways I say go for it, if anything you'll get to enjoy the game for longer if you don't run through it all within the first week.

Yes. Get the game. It's amazing. And this forum is full of retards. Tread lightly. Although I've met some awesome people too, u just gotta dig through all the bullshite to find them

That's a question only you can answer. You can wait to read the reviews or if you have a gamefly account go ahead and rent it when it comes out. Ultimately don't let anyone tell you what to do. Be an educated consumer and learn all the facts about the game and determine if it's a good fit for you.

2 RespuestasEditado por Mpqd: 8/26/2014 1:47:26 PMthere's no proximity chat ,so you can't hear them, you don't have to do pvp if you don't want and most missions can be tackled solo at your own pace, it's worth it and if any of your friends get it you can drop in and out of their games almost at will.

destiny happens at your pace. Come, We shall be waiting for you my child.
