Like really, how difficult can it be. I expect the enemies to deal a bit more damage and receive a little less, which can be easily bypassed by constantly using cover. Enemies may be in greater numbers, but cover will help you again. What do you guys think? I don't think it'll be that difficult...

In two weeks you may be eating your words. Never underestimate Bungie, they had years to come up with every possibly to make raids as difficult as Unfair Mario.

First time playing Dark Souls ever hard. That's what I assume. If a pro gamer group of 6 took 45 mins to only reach the start if the VoG, and after 16+ hours of trying still couldn't beat it, I assume, the hardest thing around for a while. Bungie said that as you progress through the Raids that they get harder and harder, so it won't be the same difficulty all the way through like strikes or story missions.

I don't think they are going to horrible difficult but I think they will have a big learning curve. They make it sound like these fights are on the concepts of MMORPGs like WoW, Rift, or Ff14:ARR. I mostly get that idea from Luke Smith mentioning WoW and Everquest and also stating "we will ask out of you things that you were never asked to do in a shooter before." What makes those Raids difficult: 1). Teamwork - everybody has their role to play and yes Destiny has roles but too long to discuss on this page. When people think of roles in raids they think Tank, Healer, DPS. There is none of that. But if you look deeply at the classes and other various things you'll see how Bungie created roles for a fast action shooter. 2) Problem solving - now let's say you were the first group in going blind. You have no idea what to expect. You have to take information given to you and figure out strengths and weakness of the encounter. Look for patterns which leads to... 3) The Dance - lot of fights have patterns you have to notice and react to. A great example of this is watching a strategy guide for Hard or Extreme Titan in FF14:ARR. That is a fight if people die it makes it really hard to beat. How most people don't die is just being able to react to Titan's abilities by knowing the patterns. 4) Gear - though skill is very important gear will still be very important in this game. It reflects how much damage you dish out and how much damage you can take. You may not think that is that important, I am assuming some fights will have "enrage timers." Basically meaning if you don't kill fast enough your ground is dead. So what real difficulty will be a mix of skill, gear, and knowing the fight mechanics. All around the more you do it the better you will get.

2 RespuestasI believe they stated that the enemy lvl will increase as u get further into the raid. The monsters will be different than what you are use to fighting. Their attacks and attack patterns will be completely different. Also believe they said there will be some new monsters. You will have to figure out what to do so it's going to be a puzzle more or less. Beyond all that they are supposed to be really long

3 RespuestasThat is just a FPS lvl Raids is a completly different type of challenge. See it as a puzzle. Let me try to make 1 example of mechanics that could be found in a FPS raid The boss start targetting a player with a laser. If player hides the boss enrage and have a cumulative permanent buff of damage. If player stay out of cover he get hit by a satellite-like attack with medium area that deal enough damage to oneshot one player even titan. The solution may be that if two ppl get hit by it the damage is split between them so you must move in groups of 2-3 and be swift to go near the targetted players to eat the damage but not enrage the boss. And that would be just one of the mechanics of that fight. Maybe it has different color of lasers to react in different ways. Or to activate some platforms while stay as groups. Or need to shoot at different things at each time The type of challenge raids will give you is a puzzle to solve and to train to be able to not mess up
