because millions of buyers can't be right, right? also players spending 600+ hours on the game must mean it's a shit game :S really I get YOU don't like the game, but that doesn't make the game shit...
-
Have you played Dark Souls? :3
-
Editado por YxolloxY: 8/22/2014 6:26:48 AM...yes... not seeing what that has to do with anything though I also played warlock 2: the exiled and long live the queen... which is just as relevant
-
Editado por ShaughnTr0n: 8/22/2014 9:42:06 PMThe relevance is that Dark Souls is a prime example of great gameplay. Skyrim is the polar opposite. First and foremost, a game should have good gameplay. If it doesn't, then it fails at being a good game.
-
Why not have both??
-
Both what?
-
Why not have both Dark Souls and Skyrim??
-
Editado por ShaughnTr0n: 8/22/2014 11:51:22 PMYou can. I'm just using Dark Souls as a prime example of good gameplay, versus bad gameplay.
-
Dark Souls is hard though ;__;
-
Nah, once you get a hang of the game, it's not that bad.
-
-
and yet skrim has great gameplay... what it arguebly doesn't have is difficulty and the gameplay is possibly a bit simplistic but that does not mean it is not fun...
-
Editado por BannedLuis69: 8/22/2014 9:25:55 PMThe melee combat in Skyrim is shit.
-
No, it didn't have great gameplay, and frankly I'm appalled that you would even think so.
-
Editado por YxolloxY: 8/22/2014 6:42:26 AM:| sure because this is obviously something important enough to get appalled about.... suffice to say that I found the gameplay fun enough to sink more time into skyrim than in almost every other game I ever played. first month or so even without mods.
-
No, I am genuinely surprised. All of my friends that like Skyrim, can at least come to terms with it having shit gameplay. I played a fairly generic spellsword, changing between 2 handed swords that did fuck-all to enemies, to lightning. The point is that the swordplay was something I would expect from the ps1 era. You don't just press the trigger, or click the button until the red bar is gone. That doesn't make for good gameplay.
-
Editado por YxolloxY: 8/22/2014 7:05:18 AMfirst of all the swordplay was... decent...ish... not great, not all that bad either; it had a bit more depth then how simplisticly you describe it with varying power attacks based on the moves you make, staggering from blocking, shield and weapon blocking, shield bashing and power bashing... secondly swordplay is only a part of the gameplay, and arguably only a small part... I suppose that if you go into skyrim expecting a swordfighting simulator, then yes you are going to be disappointed, but it's the whole package that counts for me; the exploration, the crafting, the immersion etc. etc. thirdly if you want to make a decission on how good a Bethesda game is you really need to look at the mods that are available for the game... now with most games you could dismiss that as: well mods are not how the game is intended, but saying that about a bethesda rpg is just.... not smart... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9286/? if you're on pc give that mod a whirl edit: also true spellswords go 1handed and spell in the offhand :P (not a serious remark, just a jibe since that's how I play my spellswords)
-
Mods don't count towards the game as a whole though. I'm not talking about mods. I'm talking about Vanilla Skyrim. Just because it's Bethesda, they don't get a free ride.
-
Skyrim is shit
5/10, I almost took you seriously.
-
I'm not kidding. Speaking from a gameplay perspective, it is completely awful.
-
It's not /that/ bad. Just really cookie cutter. Not even really an RPG, either... Maybe it is that bad. Idk.
-
Not even really an RPG, either...
That'd be one of the main reasons people don't like Skyrim very much. That, and the melee combat is ludicrously bad for today's (and 2011's) standards..
-
Yes, because the game that has won countless awards including Gameinformer's GOTY award is obviously a shitty game.
-
Ratings/reviews/awards mean nothing these days.
