I own a Xbox One and a 360. I don't want to get all Destiny content in a rush. The game is designed to last ten years so what's the hurry? The two new gen consoles seem to have changed a lot from when they were released so who's to say which one will be better in the future. To me if you only play Destiny your console choice may come down to if you can wait or not. Please say what console you'd choose based on just Destiny and why. We may never play another game again.

2 Respuestashttp://attackofthefanboy.com/news/destiny-allows-cross-gen-characters-cross-gen-play/ Please check this out its made me very happy. When I first heard about Destiny they said we could play with the same Guardian for 10 years. People where asking things like can we have more than one which we can. I was more excited about having one Guardian that was like a comfortable pair of old shoes. Hope to see all of you over the next Decade!

25 RespuestasEditado por CheckForAPulse: 8/21/2014 8:47:30 AMFew little things; Firstly: It's the series that is supposed to last 10 years, its 4 games spanning this time period. Secondly: In this generation, PS will likely stay "better" due to the fact that the hardware itself is actually more powerful which gives them a major advantage. Regardless of those 2 points, I'm buying it on PS4 because other friends will have it on PS4 and I wish to play the game with them. Ultimately friends should be the only deciding factor if you own both consoles, seeing as they are essentially the exact same (few timed exclusives excluded).

I'll add the link later but I have some old news Destiny is going to be multiple games with the same character but you can go to all the old places you've been before. Its kind of like this, if someone buys Destiny 3 but hasn't played Destiny 1&2 and they see the gear of another guardian that has and they like it they can go back with their guardian and get it from an earlier game. So this to me says that Destiny is one game but at the same time not and your gear carries forward with you through the different games. This is from a Bungie source. If this is true my one wish has been granted.

1 RespuestaIt's not the same game for 10 years. This is only the first game of the franchise. I am a Xbox gamer as well and I agree with you on the on not caring about the dlc part. I would rather have a DLC every six months for this game. Maybe weapon packs and shader packs every month but keeping big expansions stretched out will give the game more life.

Sorry I meant to post that to eric8604.

I know one thing based on the beta, I'll not be playing in 10 weeks never mind 10 years. But that's based on the beta, there seemed to be too many limitations for my liking, not being able to communicate with random people and small worlds to name two. I'm willing to give the game a chance though and I hope it will improve somewhat for release.

7 RespuestasThis is me just thinking aloud... Sort of. I really want Destiny to be one game spread over ten years and I think it could be. This is why, Mercury, Venus, Earth, our Moon and Mars are all in the first part of the "Game". The first expansion unlocks areas under the Hell Mouth on the Moon and the same will happen with the Fallen. So that leaves Jupiter and its 63 moons, Saturn and its 62 moons rings, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto plus comets and the astroid belt to make new games in and continue the story. Why do we need to give up the areas we already have? We've be been told this is a huge game why shrink it every 2 years? This is just an opinion I understand that it may just be because of the story, but the story is our story we see what relates to our character so new characters don't need to see end game content.

Exclusive =/= timed content.
-
It a designed to last 10 years over multiple games.

7 RespuestasI got the ps4 because its far more powerful cheaper has better exclusives and ps+ is a better deal, destiny exclusives is just icing on the cake.

14 RespuestasHaving owned an xBox since Bungie started the Halo franchise (The ONLY reason I owned a console), and I now have a PS4. I'm glad Bungie finally escaped the dictatorship of microcrap, and are free to do as they wish.

5 RespuestasI will be playing os ps4 but it is not because of exclusive content but because it has been my console of choice since the original PS and it is where my friends play. I made the mistake of buying a 360 last gen and trust me i will never make the same mistake ever again. Im not saying the xbox is a bad console, but is does not has the same appeal for someone like me. Plus how quickly 360's died. Mi first one lasted just a year and then i bought the ps3 that still works like new. I would say buy the game for the console your friends play in. There is now way you would go wrong doing that

I thought they were making destiny 'games' for ten years. Not just updating the same game,
-
I care. It looks like some cool gear which makes me more excited for my white ps4.

1 RespuestaNot me - I say good luck PS4 folk - enjoy the content and have fun. gallp13 Guardian XB1

14 RespuestasI have Four Reasons why. 1. My Friends are on PC or PS3-4 2. Only hardware wise, I like the specs for the PS4 and the case. 3. Free games with PSN, that was before Microsoft started releasing free games. 4. Wasn't sure if Destiny was going to released on PC, so decided on the previous 3 reasons. Does it matter, no. Which ever system you will have the best gaming experience is solely on you. Don't know why I responded, post like this is drowning real forum conversations. I need to eat a burrito.

Who cares, Atleast on 9/9 we'll have secure servers to play on.
-
5 RespuestasIt's not exclusive it's timed release. Patience is a virtue and ps is garbage.
-
Only way I would be annoyed is if we end up having to pay for it when the year is up. Seeing as how it's free for playstation and included in the add ons.
-
2 RespuestasI hope u realize you won't get it till fall 2015
-
1 RespuestaPS3- it's the only console I have bc I don't care for M$. My thing is this: there is no cross platform play o if u get the exclusive gear, the only ppl who see u walking around in it will be ppl who also own \owned it. So it's kinda pointless.
-
2 RespuestasList of people bothered about the exclusive content: 1. PS Fanboys who think it's the best thing ever. 2. Xbox Fanboys who think it's the worst thing ever. 3. Trolls who keep starting the fights. I'd be bothered if it was bigger dlc, like story based content. But some ships and a couple of maps? No biggy tbh.

4 RespuestasPlaystation 4, typically an older more mature community as far as voice chat goes. Timed exclusives, as well as exclusive content such as raiding/missions, etc.
-
Don't get the anger it'll be useless after a day all it has done is promote rage even when beta was active any time I raised valid problems I got hate just because I was on xbox it's nonsense hope to see you guys on xbox one gt same as handle

I'm playing it on the Xbox One. Reason being: 1)The xbox has been my main gaming console for a long while now. 2) Friends are playing destiny on xbox one. <- no doubt a very common reason in most cases for other gamers. 3) Halo: Master Chief Collection 4) Has some interesting exclusives. <- loved Ryse and Dead Rising 3 Now, as for the PS4 exclusives, i'm not gonna cry over it. Also, after a year when that stuff gets released for the rest of us whose really gonna even use it? By then we will no doubt have gotten our hands on some very powerful gear. Course i got no idea of the stats or benefits of the armor so i could be wrong and they are powerful. But still, there's a high chance i wont buy it after it becomes available. P.S. I do intend to get the PS4 at a much later date. Just saying this in case of any console-war starters try anything.
