Don't plan on getting one, I'm just curious. Say I want a PC that will run this year's games on high settings. How much would that rig cost? How much more for the mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc?

2 Respuestas$2000 is just about enough to get you a low end PC capable of running games at 540p, low settings @30fps.
-
1 Respuesta$6,400. And that's just for the mouse.
-
$5000 just for Steam. *sips tea*

Don't listen to them. Realistically you can build a good into system for about 800 from scratch. Keep in mind this is also including monitor, keyboard, mouse. Find ones you like so much you plan on sticking with. As it will reduce your costs over time. If you're just talking about the computer itself, 500. Mine cost about 800 when I completely overhauled it (the computer only). Look for deals on amazon (used /refurb) and not top notch parts but a generation behind. Also forums and customer reviews for the most bang for the buck.

Just to play this years games on high would be about $800, to play games 4 years down the road on high probably $1500. From there youd start adding costs for more bells and whistles that you really don't need just to play the game. +$200 ssd faster load times. $100 gaming mouse and keyboard. $600 for a 3d monitor(on PC this works with almost every game and has really really spoiled me!) +$800 second video card for bigger epenis(or running 3 displays or something)

1 RespuestaIf you want a rig that can play all games on high settings, you'll need to spend $4000-5000. But it'll be outdated in two years or so, so you'll want to future-proof. That'll add another $1000.

600-700 is really all you need to pay for your initial purchase of parts.

1 RespuestaEditado por comiclegregblade: 8/19/2014 7:03:02 PMI would say 1000$ at least because my gaming PC cost that much and I can run the majority of my games on high-max settings

Maybe 600 or more. I don't know. Best building one yourself or adapting an average PC with [mid-high end] graphics or getting a console.
