No, both consoles can run 1080p 60fps without too much trouble. But when you combine that with a lot of other players, the massive polygon count that next gen got with destiny, and the dynamic shaders of bungie's new engine, that's where you get a problem.

  • So the X1 and PS4 can easily run the game at 1080p 60fps, but they can`t because Destiny is too graphically intense. I am confused by your logic friend. This might be a common problem I see a lot, I know both consoles run certain games at 1080p 60fps just not Destiny.

  • I'm just saying, that the large polygon count and shaders of a game like destiny really drag on the processor. Minecraft is probably the best example of this. I can run the game at 65-75fps without a problem, but when I add shaders and mods etc. it lags a ton. And with 8gb DDR3 for XB1 and 8gb GDDR5 for PS4, these systems could handle it. But I am more concerned about the processors, the XB1 and PS4 are very different and i just don't know that much about them. In short, both consoles could handle it, but last gen cant, and bungie is too nice to give next gen better graphics.

  • I have always thought keep games 30fps and 980p so we get best gameplay possible.
