How many people noticed that the light on the DS4 changes depending on the situation, ghost light turns on and the DS4's light changes to white, you die and the light changes to Amber (I am colorblind so might be a different color) there is probably more but I can't recall them

6 RespuestasI thought the PS4 controller was one of the best controllers I've had my hands on. The color change is unique, but the battery life is dreadful. I also enjoy the Xbox One controller, but the right and left bumpers seem a little odd.

Yeah it is a very neat feature!

The DS4 is an amazing controller. Best i have used

Getting ready for the morpheus, vr destiny is gonna be grand.

5 RespuestasThe DS4 controller is very easily my favorite controller. I used to think the 360 controller was perfection, but I really do love the form and the capabilities of the DS4
-
The light is cool when you play in the dark I love the DS4 controller so much better then my xbox controller would be cool if I could use my DS4 on my xbox.

Editado por Scurred: 8/19/2014 10:08:10 PMIt's cool I guess, but who really ever looks at their controller while gaming?

3 RespuestasIMO the ds4 and xbox 360 controllers have been the best controllers I've ever used, took my awhile to get use to the ds4 but now when I put my 360 cont back in my hands it feels like a dinosaur. My only complaint of the ds4 is the analog grips wasting away pretty quick and easily.

3 RespuestasAnybody notice you pay half the battery life for it?
-
I did. It turns to yellow when your Super is fully charged...and turns green when you're fighting the Hive.
-
5 RespuestasHate the PS controller. It's made for little Asian hands.
-
Low hp is red

4 RespuestasI'm a huge fan of the DS4. IMHO, it's currently the best out-of-the-box console controller.
-
Yeh the DS4 is the best controller I've ever used. It kicks ass
-
Yes that was one of the first things i noticed. I loved it thx for bringing it up agian

I noticed this while I was drunk, it was red at the time and I thought that it was my PS4 telling me to plug in. Imagine my surprise...and nerdgasm...when I realized that it was Destiny. Lights are definitely going out when I play now.

Fun fact, the light bar on the ds4 acts much like the light from the move controller. In conjunction with the ps4 camera, it tracks the players adding more capabilities to the types of gameplay developers can achieve. A lot of how the controller is designed has to do with what developers, and not Sony, demanded. The touch pad doubles as a push button, the built in speaker is a bonus too. Imo, the touch pad/button is a much more useful function to add to a controller than triggers that rumble. Now, I'm sure the rumble triggers are useful for something... But I don't like it.... Just doesn't feel natural to me... (Battery life doesn't concern me, switching controllers takes literally 5 seconds or less.)

Yeah I love the ps4 controller and that's coming from just playing xbox since the original. The 360 is still a close call, but the ds4 with the middle button, sound from the controller, the light, and the motion sensing gives it the edge.
-
It's a massive improvement over the dreadful PS3 controller but I get really annoyed at the start button placement; it's really annoying to get to and I keep pressing the enourmous touch pad by accident. This is kinda frustrating especially in a 'start-button friendly' RPG type game like Destiny. Aside from that it's great, although whoever's hands they tried to make it for seem to be incredibly disproportionate to human hands since it has a woeful time molding to your hands. I'd still much rather an XO or 360 controller to play though, everything just fits so well.

9 RespuestasGetting my PS4 on the 9th (White Destiny edition.. Jelly? :P j/k. Anyway, was wondering how long is the controller charger cable that comes with it?
-
I loathed the PS3 controller. I had to buy an adapter that let me plug in my 360 controller. As for the PS4 controller, I think it is a vast improvement. I don't even notice it when I'm playing (unlike the PS3 controller which I was very uncomfortably aware of whenever I'd use it) which is the mark of a good controller to me.
-
It was very awkward at first when I switched from the Xbox 360, but I love the controller now. It's so smooth and actually feels contoured to my hands, instead of barbarically large. And the Xbox One controller got even bigger. I also LOVE the light bar and touch pad. Using the controller as a spray paint can in Infamous: SS is just one of the fun applications of the controller. Is it necessary? No. But, it is just a bonus. You can play without using any of them. It really doesn't harm your experience at all, except the battery life, which I never recognized to be a problem for me. But to each their own. I definitely loved the Xbox 360 controller as well when I was playing it. I just wish both consoles could play together, but I guess we're just not there yet with technology (or MS and PS don't want it yet). Game on.

5 RespuestasEditado por Kilo: 8/19/2014 1:04:03 PMYes and I hate it. Not only does it kill the battery but whenever it turns red I think my battery is about to die.

3 RespuestasWhile we are on a thread about the DS4 I wanted to warn people about the rubber on the top of the sticks wearing down quickly and becoming sticky. I am sure some of you will have noticed by now. I ended up with a sticky touch pad for a while. No that's not a euphemism :) I would recommend getting something like Kontrol Freeks ASAP just to cover the sticks. I use the cqc ones and they don't lengthen the sticks too much. Or there are plenty of other rubber stick covers on Amazon. I do feel the sticks are just a bit too short on the ds4 so the short Kontrol Freeks are ideal. :)

It's cool but there should be an option to turn it off to conserve battery..
