Was the forums this bad before the Activision/CoD/Playstation people came over.

i hear tales of a better time... but its been this bad/bitchy for the 6 months or so ive been on here.

It's been one constant console war since they opened the Forums up to more than one console... And then they greatly relaxed the Forum rules on top of that, so... yeah. Forums have taken a nosedive into the cesspool since they migrated from the old site build.

No they really weren't. Hate to say it but these forums were better when everyone was on one console. It has nothing to do with it being Xbox though, (coming from an Xbox player). A games forums are better when they're under one console, that means no console wars which has been showing up a lot lately.

The console war has definitely died down and I think you see more trolling and terrible general threads because there's less to talk about until the game comes out. You know, selfish entitled jerks that latch on to one thing they want that they can't have and flood the forums with petitions, rants, etc. [silverlining]Thankfully there are a many great forum regulars here and superstars that make this a great place much of the time. People like TopWargamer who will help you get started with PC gaming or Lord of Admirals which is our top Halo expert and generally a pleasant fellow.[/silverlining]

As someone who was here as an Xbox player and now is here as a playstation player, I can say without bias that the xbox people and their incessant bitching are the problem. Or they were, anyway. It seems like the flaming has pretty much died down after the beta.
