The thing is this: people are bitching and moaning, but most people are NOT complaining to Bungie. As a consumer it is your responsibility to keep the producer in check. Noone is doing that. For every 10,000 people that complain about something, maybe one or two of them has dropped their preorder. Ultimately that is how Bungie will know if their actions are unacceptable. If you have that big of a problem with destiny then use your buyer's power and cancel your preorder. Simple as that.
I like the way they are doing things and am personally happy with what the beta represents. I'll be getting the game and so will a bunch of other people (whether or not they admit it). It seems to me that more people are interested in whining then anything else. These are the same people that call for every gun in battlefield to be nerfed until everything you pick is the exact same thing with a different skin. People whining just to whine. If you don't like it then get out.
Problem?

Editado por sergeantawesome: 8/16/2014 8:00:49 PMYeah, you have taken this post in the wrong way, and responded inappropriately. And you are confusing feedback with personal interests that would be unnecessary to the game, and a lack of faith in the fact that Bungie has made games before.

Editado por H0TWAD: 8/16/2014 8:21:53 PMThe only personal interest I have is playing destiny. I like all of their moves, whether it be excluding MM from raids or moving forward without proxy chat. If my stance and response to all the whining is inappropriate then so be it. My point is simple: In a choice driven consumers market you speak with your wallet. If you like a product and what it represents then buy it. If not, then exercise your buyer's power and don't buy it. Guess that's not acceptable for some reason PS- people complaining about getting their beta characters wiped is ridiculous.

Editado por sergeantawesome: 8/16/2014 8:57:50 PMYes, but consumers should not be allowed to dictate everything. If that was the case, we would have different endings for numerous different games, TV shows, music and movies, and everything would be way out of balance. Video games are walking a fine line between art and product. You have to make your product good, but you cannot let people constantly control what happens with it. If everyone were to affect Destiny with their constant issues, then every 5 seconds something would get a nerf and buff, and things would be added and removed altogether. Bungie has their vision for Destiny, and they have made plenty of games in their history to know what they are doing. Sure, you chose to speak with your wallet, but some people's misguided attempts to get the game fixed in their image, is not how things should work. And that usually comes from a lack of understanding. Some people's assumptions and prejudices of the game are contagious as well, when all they do effect others. Yes, I was upset at first about match making in raids not being available, and while I don't think it would hurt to put it in the game, I do believe that Bungie has a very good reason for not doing it, just like proximity chat, split screen, keeping our beta characters, etc. Sure, there are ways they can do those things, but in the end its not going to benefit everyone, but people make these posts and get others to believe it without putting much thought into the issue in the first place, like the fact that Bungie does know what they are doing. You cannot let ignorance (without or lacking knowledge, not the moronic idiot kind people tend to think about) and prejudices speak along with your wallet. Its unfair to you, unfair to other consumers, and unfair to a company who has put their time and effort into something. Its not always because people are lazy, it could have to do with the vision Bungie has, or the computing power, or any other number of factors. You just have to chose to trust and believe, or go ahead and assume and judge based on your experiences and knowledge and not theirs.

That is well thought out and brilliantly worded articulation on the fallouts of submissive consumerism. However: when I say that the consumer speaks with their wallet, that is a consumer making a personal decision on whether or not a product is right for them. If they're spending all their time on the bungie forums complaining about said product, then the reality is that they probly shouldnt buy it. Seriously we seem to mostly agree. And yes if people are on here regurgitating other peoples complaints then they have a whole other, more important, set of issues to deal with. But it seems we are just going to have to agree to disagree on certain aspects of this conversation.
