I actually believe wholeheartedly that they should create a nerfed version of the raid that can be beaten in two hours. This way, eveybody gets a chance to see it through. Heres the catch, there are 3 unique versions of the raid that yield 3 different drop grades: 1. Casual: matchmaking allowed, best gear drops are uncommon 2. Normal: matchmaking allowed, best gear drops are general rare/legendary items that can be obtained anywhere in game if lucky enough 3. THE WAY BUNGIE INTENDED IT, hardcore raiders only, no matchmakimg allowed, best gear drops are raid-specific legendary and exotic items This way, everybody can finish the raid, but theres is still a real sense of accomplishment for those of us who beat the raid the way bungie intended it and obtained the legendary/exotic items specific to that challenge. I would even go as far as to say that they could grade the raid-specific drops. For an example, I'll use the Red Death pulse rifle. So it would grade like this: 1. You beat the raid on casual and are lucky enough to get the raid specific PR. In this case its the Red Phantom PR, it is the uncommon (weakest) version of the Red Death PR, it has the same base stats as the Red Death PR but has limited attributes that can be unlocked. 2. You beat the raid in normal mode and are lucky enough to get the raid-specific PR. It is called the Red Reaper, it is the rare version of the Red Death, it has same base stats as the Red Death but has a relatively moderate number of attributes that can be unlocked. 3. You beat the raid the way bungie intended it, and this is the only way to get the Red Death PR. This way we can still adhere to the idiotic "everybody gets a trophy" mentality, but some trophies will still be better than others. *I say all this under the assumption that the gear grades go in this order: 1. Uncommon 2. Rare 3. Legendary 4. Exotic

  • You know as well as I do that many people will not have a static group to play with and wont take the time to find one. My idea above at least gives anyone that wants to try a chance to finish the raid, but still differentiates those who finished the raid the way bungie intended it. Borderlands kinda does the same thing, and it really works. Its just not as complicated.

I know as well as you that some ppl will be 10years old kids and decide to not find a static and I know that statics are made with ppl with all sort of real life issues in the last 10+ years. There are only 2 cases of not making a static. Be a kid and choose to not do it or have less then 3h a week to play and in that case you won't be at raiding lvl anytime soon nor have the time to finish a raid Ps: borderland 2 don't have raids. They have some usual FPS lvl called raids. If bungie is making the same thing they are doing it really bad

Borderlands raids are called raids for a reason. They are watered down, but they're still raids at their most basic level. With the 10 yr old comment, I cant tell if you're trolling or just plain stupid. The more options a game has the more sustainable it will be to the breadth of the community. Simple as that, my alternative has a little something for everybody. A little something for everybody... hmmm... Didnt bungie say that was the ultimate goal for this game? To have something for everyone? But what do i know, its only the philosophy they founded this game on. Right?

  • They are not raids. They are just FPS levels. No real mechanics to learn and they are hard only for def and attack of boss. Raids are on a whole different level And your assumption about MM is semplicistic and wrong. They will bring way more damage than good. You want content doable in MM? Strikes are for you. Raids are not doable in MM unless you remove all it make it a raid and you are left with a borderland2's raid or destiny's strike missions Raids NEED raiding mentality (organize with your party when go online to train the raid) instead of FPS mentality (go online when I want and play with whoever is online) You may decide you don't want to enter that mentality and you have strikes. You have 2 reasons to not do it. 1) 10 years old mentality that put up a grunt 2) less then 3h a week to play Raids are available to 99% of players

Okay, gotta be a troll. Too many circles and repetative statements for coherent conversation. I'm done here. You have fun with those thoughts.
