Yep, Xbone is weaker, and PS+ has better value, but I'd like to discuss a few of your points. First, after E3 2014, I'm pretty confident in saying that the TV focus is not really a thing at Xbox anymore. Hell, they scrapped the division working on the TV stuff. That's speaks volumes on how they have changed their focus. They didn't even mention that shit their entire briefing, along with Kinect. Stop living in the past, the Xbone is no longer focused on that. The Xbone dashboard is not filled with ads, hell, the 360 was far worse than the bone in this aspect. In addition, the few ads I have seen were all game related and relevant to me, but the point still remains that they are practically non-existent. Also, giving an article complaining about the difficulty of using the UI from 8 months ago is a tad misleading, especially considering that Microsoft has since rolled out a number of updates that consistently improve the machine, and it will only get better as time goes on. To say it's the same machine as it was since then would be a gross misrepresentation of the product, as it is a constantly evolving machine. As for your point about Kinect, people knew what they were getting into. Everyone was saying not to buy the Bone until they unbundled it, and guess what? It happened. So that's that. Besides, if the original adopters want to rid themselves of it, they can do so. The Xbone is more than usable without it, especially with the updates to add to the functionality. As I've said before, the ads are non intrusive and are not nearly as blatant as the 360's, so they shouldn't be a problem if it remains that way. As for your Destiny posts, yeah, that's all expected. Some people didn't even know it was coming to the Xbone. Sony marketed that shit hard, and it shows. It was a smart move by them. As for your resolution comment, the final game is 1080p on the bone, so it's irrelevant what the Alpha and Beta ran at. And for your final point, I suppose you're right, although I would have to say that the ability to effectively make your controller wired with the charge and play is pretty neat. To be fair though, the DS4's batteries blow hard. So I suppose both could use some work. They're still great controllers, though.

Some fair points there. Though I think the kinnect was a much worse PR disaster and screwing over of early adopters than you are giving it credit. The ads are still very much present on the xbone dash. The DS4 when connected via a mirco USB cable is also becomes 'wired'. Though I think it's a pretty great controller, with many improvements over the DS3.

Yeah, the Kinect was a definite PR blunder, no way around it. The device itselfs works great IMO, it's just that Microsoft didn't back it up with anything meaningful. Still nice to have, but I understand the necessity of it being separate. As for the dash, the only "ads" are the ones to the right of the home tab, which is simply one column that displays 3 boxes you can click on. The bottom box is reserved for the Games With Gold hub, which leaves the two other spots, which can serve as places to sum up updates, show relevant games, or other news/content, like gamescom (using a recent example). Like I said, it's far less in your face than the 360. And yes, the DS4 is pretty great. I still prefer the Bone's controller, but I can see why some would like the DS4 more.

Some of you may disagree, but I think the main difference between DS4 and the xbone controller is where you like to put your thumbs, and the shape of the controller.

"show relevant games, or other news/content" See, I sort of consider these ads, as they are pushing an agenda. If you can use this space to pin your own stuff if you wanted, then it would be OK. But I like that fact you can make your points by being even handed and articulate, instead of flying off the rails like most xbone owners.

Here is why X1 is better than PS4 imo: #1: Friends- All of my friends on X1, why switch? #2: Halo- Favorite game franchise since 2001. #3: Familiarity- Been with Xbox since 2001, why switch now?

None of those are actually about the console, and even though halo is amazing, there are still great first person shooters on ps4.

It's actually 4 games and when you compare the graphics for PS4 to Xbox One they're not that different and they are the same price depending on which Xbox One you get.

I don't really think posting links to articles posted by people with private agendas or websites updated by posters constitutes fact. However I will say that doing research did show that ps4 is the best game system out there today. However with that being said if you want to call the xbox one a "game system" it is by far the one best equipped to grow with the future of gaming. This means everyday the ps4 gets outdated and closer to a ps5 while everyday the x1 gets better. Most of your "facts" have been updated already. I even find it quite laughable that one of your gripes is that controllers are upgradable. Anyway is this post like yours simply opinions? Yup. But I'd rather trust the company that taught several billion shaved apes to use a PC vs. the country that brought us anime when it comes to "reliable" software and hardware. Now if I want "cheap" software and hardware I'll go with Japan. Nah wait, maybe China.

He has several pages worth of information on ign without citing a single source. If you In fact google ign pages comparing both machines you will find different information each time. So much for fact. To me it simply boils down to what games you like. I prefer xbox over Playstation and don't enjoy fake facts being jammed down my throat by trolls. Here's a fact: Playstation is on their 4th machine while xbox is on their third. I hope for your sake given the head start sony got something right for you because you sound a bit bitter.

It is literally impossible for Destiny to run better on xbone, or even the same. There is more to visuals than resolution and frame rate. You have all sorts of post processing effects, dynamic physics and shadows, v-sync, texture detail... PS4 is literally a good 30% more powerful than the xbone. (xbone has slower DDR3 RAM and the APU in the xbone has less Compute Units, 12 vs 18 in the PS4, this is a fact). So this basically means the GPU/APU is 33% less powerful in the xbone. The Xbone version is running at 900P in the Beta, I think it’s fair to say it’s struggling to run on the xbone. If it gets to 1080p, some major sacrifices will need to be made to the xbone version.
