Who's gonna actually be able to play on 9/9 at midnight? Downloading 20gb+ is gonna take forever with the added complication of millions of other people also downloading it as well #thankgodfordestinyondisc

The beta only took 8-9 minutes. So most likely 1 for me
-
I have old gen so my download won't be that large, but if you have a good connection it shouldn't take more than 1½-2 hours. Besides the servers might be coming on at new zealand time zone from what I just read not sure if its true.
-
I'll wait till after work to download. Besides it releases on Tuesday.

10 RespuestasIt does not take forever if you are able to download while on standby. Cuts the time down drastically. I expect to see forum rage over "unable to download game on 9/9 cause everyone is trying it at the same time and the online stores keep crashing and I can't play and I'm tired and want to play"
-
1 RespuestaI'm expecting 40+gb tbh
-
44 RespuestasPre-load. Welcome to the future unless you got a xbone.
-
1 RespuestaPs3 and ps4 can preload on the 4th maybe Xbox can too I'm not sure tho
-
Digital> I can automatically start playing at midnight because I already preloaded it
-
PSN has preload feature. Xbox just announced it as well for Madden. Disc install shouldn't be too long. And yes I'll be up and playing.
-
2 Respuestas20gigs a bit optimistic if be hoping it's at least 40gig for destiny to be as big as it claims it is.
-
Well, since PS 4 players at least will be able to pre load the game two days early. The first players will undoubtedly be digital download players. For the consoles which can't download ahead of time, it's unlikely that they'll be able to play right at midnight. Though, with the lines and travel time to pick up your disk, it's unlikely any disk players will either. All in all, I'd still say digital download is the way to go.
-
I will psn had a preloading option game will be downloaded on the 7th
-
Nobody, better to just get some sleep. #Serverswilltrollyou

3 RespuestasAfter suffering through the GTA online fiasco, I'm hesitant to believe that the nearly 1 million concurrent beta players was a large enough test for the servers in the first place. That being said, I honestly believe Rockstar had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Bungie, on the other hand, has been doing this for years, so I'm hopeful they will be more than prepared for the launch day Zerg. That mixed with the fact that PS folks will already have the downloads finished should help to ease the strain, at least for the PS servers. Unfortunately for us XBoners, it's a gamble either way. My plan: I'm going to start the download as soon as I can (I downloaded the whole 44gb Wolfenstein overnight) and will still have my physical copy arriving via FedEx on launch day. If the download finishes before the game gets here, if it's even available at that point, I'll just run with that. If not, I'll just have to be late to the party, and bring extra beers.
-
imma download mine on 9/7 like everyone else on PS4 that preordered on PSN
-
1 RespuestaOnly Xbox users will be downloading data on 9/9, all PS users will have pre-loaded since 9/7(digital copies).
-
Millions of people played the beta which downloaded quickly.
-
Do you mean download the game on your console or download shit from the internet?
-
1 RespuestaPer-load. I'm covered.
