Basically the commentator said was that, due to the 30 fps, Destiny will not be a competitive multiplayer game. Thoughts?
I don't disagree or agree with what this commentator has to say. I just want to see what you guys think (:

What type of logic is that. Fps doesn't dictate if something is competitive or not.

1 RespuestaThis guy seems to critique pro players, intentionally or not, with the arguments he brings up. Saying that someone will complain because they died four frames too early when they drop to 56 frames shows giant immaturity in the competitive scene. Part of anything professional is taking into account imperfections and if you cant account for a frame rate drop with your gameplay, then your opposition who can is better than you deserves the victory. He also says that the physics will keep pvp back, and to me, a man of science, that sounds incredibly stupid, because he says people will only like the highly unreal physics of moving without inertia or other basic principles of science.. To me these little things create parameters that good players will use in gameplay, and other games that ignore physics look too fake to be fun for me. As an aside, i don't think the people he played against were professional players, they were probably just friends who coordinated their IDs.

2 RespuestasGood. I don't care of it's ever apart of MLG. I think it's going to be FUN and that's what is most important to me.
-
It's super obnoxious that we are accepting on "NEXT GEN" 30fps for anything.
-
He's wrong obviously, but Destiny will not be half as good in competitive multiplayer as halo 2 anniversary, as it's 60 Fps, and has better pvp
-
I think it's competitive but it will flourish in 60fps. :) I've been playing the last of us remastered a lot.

6 RespuestasMlg is crap omg play the game for fun getting fixated on my stats is just stupid just play it and enjoy it or dont play it.
-
I've seen this before and basically what he's saying is just because the frame rate isn't all that high that the game has a low chance on being competitive game. But that's not going to stop anything from people playing it that way.
-
2 RespuestasEditado por Johns: 8/14/2014 6:19:57 AMI think most people don't really care either way. If the community wants it to be competitive then it will happen. The thing that bothers most competitive people is watching somebody like Driftor talk about the subject.
-
I totally agree with Drift0r on this one. Also I saw this video a while ago.
-
5 RespuestasHalo competitive is dead and so will Destiny's. Destiny is a PvE game. The PvP is lame.
-
Could care less, I want Destiny to have a good time for once
-
6 RespuestasIt'll be competitive. They already set up leagues and shit for it on mlg.
-
...This is the equivalent of saying a slow person in a race automatically means it's not a competitive race. Seriously, has 90% of FPS gamers forgot what the definition of "competitive" is?
-
He can eat a dick
-
to be quite honest this game can mlg and all that they need to polish the mechs a lil bit like dieing the same time you kill someone and things like that
-
I have played games 30 frames per seconds and 60 and they feel no different so this commentator must just be a tryhard. In any frames 30+ you are able to play the games with out trouble in my opinion.
-
I thought it was gonna be 60 fps at launch...
-
2 RespuestasItll be competitive for him in prison when he drops the soap
-
There have been many MLG fps that have been 30 fps. Obviously he is wrong.
-
2 RespuestasYou tubers spend most of their time on YouTube, and the rest of their time being bad at video games. What do they know about being competitive
-
It isn't a twitch shooter, so fps doesn't matter as much. It can still be competitive because half of the battle is strategy and effectively using skills in the right situations.
-
5 RespuestasA competitive game should not follow a basic formula. If that were the case, then gaming companies would be simply exporting re-skinned games with the same content as the last. (I know what you are thinking, but lets not go there) Any game can become competitive. It is up to the player to determine what games are competitive. Hell, even Minecraft (God forbid) could be competitive if the community really wanted it to.
-
5 RespuestasLol both Halo and Cod are considered competitive and are 30 FPS
-
Super smash bros is competitive.
