Halo 2s was the best. An accurate indicator of skill and although it was completely W/L based, it was a better skill barometer than H3s. H3s was ok but it was too easy to reach the top level and it was dumb how your teams skill impacted the amount of your level change after a win or a loss. Arena was just bad all around.

From what I've observed, core mechanics of Reach aside, it seemed to me like the rewards for doing well in the Arena didn't justify the large amount of time you had to invest to become ranked every month. Or were you moreso referring to the way that players were individually scored for their personal performance, or do you consider that an improvement over Halo 3?
