At the end of the day, until Sept. 9th at least, we dont know jack about Destiny.
All the posts on these forums about whats wrong with Destiny, or how Bungie has screwed up or even what folks say they think has been done right are all completely meritless.
Ive participated in many betas and never has one shown me more than a fraction of the complete picture or fully represented the final products mechanics.
The only other beta ive done for a Bungie product was Reach. If the differences between that beta and the final product are indicative of the differences between the Destiny beta and the final product, then we as consumers havent even begun to see what all will be on offer!
I, for one, cant wait and have nothing but optimism for this title!!!

Seen posts on this forum recently that have made me want to bump this. Sooooo..........bump!!!

I know I like the gameplay, I know I like Titans the most after playing the 3, I know punching faces feels satisfyingly meaty, I know I like to use Titanfall quotes when I use the titans super, I know not to stare at my titans own flash grenades, I know the contents of the gold chests were a little disappointing, I know flipping a vehicle with antigrav is somehow more embarrassing than doing it to one with wheels in other games *cough*warthog*cough*, I know I prefer spraying lead with full auto primary, I know I cant wait to get hold of more maps, I know I cant wait to grab some shaders, I know I don't like the default jumpship, I know I like the art direction for weapons and gear, I know I love co-op. "We know shit!" might be going a bit far :D

2 RespuestasEditado por SaferMurderweapon: 8/9/2014 1:18:35 AMWe know quite a lot actually. Haven't you seen the leek that was posted? http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/67541184/0/0

I have faith in Bungie. I feel like they're lying for the good of the community. I mean it's been done before. I'm certain nobody is even close to figuring out how much content is in the full game. Bungie has been working on this game since ODST, so that's a pretty long time

3 RespuestasCool... But, your optimism for this title is at least partially based on things u think bungie has done right. You can't neglect the basic truths of what these forums are. This is a place for people (yourself/myself) to place there opinions based on the beta. And guess what- Bungie asked us all to do it. Plain and simple! I understand the pain of seeing the same issues, complaints and praise over and over again. But we are choosing to look at it. Your choice!!!! Fact is, everyone here is most likely a fiend trying to participate in the destiny universe however we can until the day comes to play!

Yeah...

You and me both OP

Well, most of the complaints I see are about things you don't even see infrastructure for. If you don't even see the potential for it to be there, it usually won't ever be there. My personal complaint, customization being awful, probably isn't going to change from beta to launch, or get better with expansions. Then again, Titanfall's post-launch additions give me a glimmer (no pun intended) of hope for Destiny, but I'm not expecting much. My point is, we don't know everything, but we do know a lot, and we can predict things.

13 RespuestasEditado por Majik12: 8/8/2014 6:22:50 PMThis is the defintition of hyperbolic. We know plenty about the game. We have played alphas, betas, there have been trailers, "dev dairies", interviews, weekly updates, etc. Pretty much every beta I have played has turned out to be pretty much exactly the same as the final game gameplay wise, minus a few bug fixes and tweaks. Also this statment from Activision.
"But I would describe this as tweaks and not major changes, as we saw the fundamentals of the game to be very strong."
http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/08/05/destiny-just-getting-tweaks-and-no-major-changes-from-beta-to-release-ready-for-a-great-launch/

2 RespuestasI agree with you and can not wait for September 9. I also do not care if there are £20 expansions every few months that open up more content I for one will gladly pay for new story and content.

Look people, i just want Destiny!

Shit isn't blocked.

I want to be optimistic, but 60 dollars is 60 dollars. I mean I could buy this instead and know I made an investment. http://www.amazon.com/Kotobukiya-Shining-Blade-Ardet-Statue/dp/B00GYPG5JA/ref=sr_1_177?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1407564586&sr=1-177&keywords=anime+statue

Title says it all

7 RespuestasThe final game is going to be exactly like the beta. Obviously the only change is the amount of content. Have you never played a bungie beta before?
-
Agreed. People are taking a tiny bit of information and extrapolating way too far. Anyone remember the ME3 MP demo (yes I know it was called a demo, it's because the game was stable and they wanted the servers vetted)? It had nothing in it compared to the full game. How about the Battlefield betas? Severely restricted unlocks. Looking at a small piece of the pie and claiming to understand the whole industrial bakery is pretty naive and that's exactly what people are doing.
-
My sentiments exactly fellow guardian. I found absolutely nothing wrong with the game, in fact I would play the beta alone even if nothing were added just on PvP alone. Granted if they don't add a bunch more area to explore I would be disappointed but still content.
