Activision publishing boss Eric Hirshberg
"More than 4.5 million players participated in the Destiny beta, making it, according to Activision, “the biggest beta of this console generation by a wide margin and the largest console beta ever for a new video game IP to date.”
Main reason is simply because the Xbone and PS4 got absolutely NOTHING to offer, current gen consoles are sucking big time. I didn't even touch my PS4 since the last day of the BETA.
Not because you have a bunch of people playing your game , means you should do absolutely nothing to make the game better.
No major gameplay changes ? You know what it means right ?

2 RespuestasAs stated by Bungie, the Beta was—for the most part—a stress test of their back end. The Beta was most likely a build from early in 2014. Internally for months I would guess that they have been working on the full build making it bug free. We have to remember that last year they were marketing Destiny as an early 2014 release. So I am sure that they had a full build ready in February/March. It has probably been in testing since then. I have no doubt that Destiny will be an incredibly low bug count game at release and that their servers will be top notch. I appreciate the dedication and commitment that Bungie has shown with Destiny. It is rarely seen in many aspects of creativity today.

Major is a subjective term and really is up for what they really mean. I think a major change would be something like...Changing the design of a class. TBH i think the article was just for PR. Nothing of interest was in it. And they were basically saying "the beta was good" which we have known for awhile. I'd take what was stated with a grain of salt.

we played a beta, this could be beta build xxxx so we dont seen all of it, and the time between beta and final is in the most cases to short to implemented major changes in a game. just like all other games there should be some bigger changes when updates will come out for it.

Editado por xUndyingRealm: 8/6/2014 5:13:59 PMYou can get exotics in many different ways . Not only cryptarch . You'll be able to buy them also from Xúr in exchange for strange coins . Dude I don't know why you complain but I know you'll be playing this because you have seen nothing yet . The beta didn't give you everything son . Just wait till the game releases you'll see theres other ways on getting exotics . Also give the Next gen consoles time bruh . They just released and its only been a year . They have a lot in stock for these Next gen consoles . PSN exclusives like The Order . Cant wait .

I'm not that sad that there are no new major changes, I'm happy with the way destiny is now.

2 Respuestasi agree with you that the next gen is bullshit, but you got to understand that they are new. the older consoles didnt had that much to offer in the first year too (wii u still doesnt have much stuff besides mario kart 8) but watch out for later releases. the e3 just showed us bunch of great games (yeah, they come out way to late, but they still look great. almost all of them). what major game changes you want? the beta was great and bungie already said they nerfed the interceptor a bit. its just 1 vehicle, but you cant deny that it will affect the gameplay on the moon. (and other maps which have vehicles). also its a 10 year expanding game, we already know of 2 packs and the 3 year cycle comet expansion. i gonna bet that you can even travel to other plantes that we wont in the final game yet. thats normal for a game that expands. you got 2 green gears from a lv 6 / 8 strike. it wasnt even difficult at all. im pretty sure the later and more difficult strikes give you rare and legendary equips. the glimmer thing is probably to prevent easy farming. i got glimmer when i was below lv 8, like everyone else. i still got 25 glimmer from yellow enemys when i was lv 8. as soon as you get to a bit higher enemys in the endgame you gonna get glimmer again. (also: do you want it to become like borderlands? you get so much money that you dont even know what to do with it. even if you die 10 times, you still have more than enough money for other stuff.) not sure whats up with the cryptarch (can people get legendary equip from the cryptarch by buying the engrams from him? my best item was a lv 10 blue gear, but in terms of late game its still crap. if people got legendary weapons, i hope bungie gets that out of the game.) in the end: im actually not sure what your thread is about? are you saying its trash because the game doesnt change to much from the beta to endgame or something? (also: whats up with people criticize games that are not out that strongly? (especially if its destiny and / or xbox game? (i know this is also a ps game)) lately every game gets heavy critics if its discussed more than once.)

1 RespuestaI'm pretty sure they won't have the same loot chest system in the game. And I wouldn't classify that as a major change either.
-
1 RespuestaDo people really have a problem with the seed/glimmer thing? The seeds were pretty common and you got a ton of glimmer if you used them in a mission or exploration.

2 RespuestasWe won't know for sure until the game launches. Until then, this is just speculation.

Editado por wash: 8/6/2014 3:34:19 PMI'm not even sure what you are complaining about here.

6 RespuestasIt was the beta I'm sure they left a lot out lol

5 RespuestasI agree it's just speculation and Bungie is still the one who actually is responsible for any changes being made, not Activision as they are just the publisher. But, there's an even worse implication here. Look at Activision stating that there aren't going to be any changes to the game. Here are some disturbing quotes: "Destiny’s beta was good enough to convince Activision to leave the full game alone for launch." "“And the good news is...we got 4.6 million players into the beta…" "We think we’re ready for a great launch with a great partner in Bungie.” Look at all the times they say "we" did this and "we" did that. It was my understanding that they are a publishing partner and that gameplay and design are being handled by Bungie. You think Bungie was being stymied when they were under Microsoft's control? Get ready for another go round. Only one month out and Activision is starting to show who is really in charge. Sad times gamers, sad times.
