Borderlands 2 : First-person shooter, action role-playing (ARPG FPS)
Destiny : First-person shooter, action role-playing (ARPG FPS)
WoW: Online role-playing game (MMORPG)
Now stop comparing a freaking raid compose of 20+ players, with billions of skills/abilities to a 6 players raid with 3 abilities each with is a Super , a Grenade type and Melee combat first person shooter on CONSOLE.
Edit: Imo, Destiny is an RTS, I can easily compare this to Star Craft because it is in Space and Futuristic theme and also Poker Star because of the Cryptarch
English
#Destiny

Editado por SaferMurderweapon: 8/7/2014 3:53:52 AMI wouldn't say Destiny is like Borderlands. It's more like Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. Take into consideration the abilities and weapons. They all function differently. Borderlands on the other hand is a disorganized mess when it comes to gear. In Destiny and Mass Effect 3, each weapon has a different purpose. In Borderlands, there are just too many -blam!-ing guns that all do the same thing just differently. It's funny how people instantly compare Destiny to WoW because it has "raids". LOL, you haven't even played them yet and suddenly being a WoW veteran makes you an expert. Woo... way to go... *slow clap* Fun fact: Skill rotations and class specific "roles" won't fly in Destiny.

They are so similar in so many aspects... Lots of other WoW features I hope to see included at launch and in future expansions.

2 RespuestasEditado por Lecruidant: 8/6/2014 11:55:46 PMHere, let me make this simple for you. Destiny has raids which you will need a full group to take down and it will take a few hours. MUCH LIKE AN MMO. Destiny has multiple questing areas of which you will find other players simultaneously doing the same quests if not exploring. MUCH LIKE AN MMO. Destiny has a reputation system to get better gear of which you will need to do for ALL factions in order to get beneficial gear and equipment for your top classes. MUCH LIKE AN MMO. Of which the noticeable difference being this is an FPS version. Idc how many times Bungie states it, it has almost ALL the qualities of an MMO, yet they dont' call it that. And not to mention it's ALL ONLINE. I could go on. But I think you are starting to get the picture. And btw, if you want to seem relevant, don't bring up Shittylands 2. It's repetitive, the voice acting and scripting is annoying as -blam!- and all the guns look like Nerf guns. Nuff said. And here, just cause i'm sure somebody will have a "quick witted" comeback, Localized Social Events is a common thing to do in recent MMO's such as Rift and the more popular Final Fantasy XIV to get the community together to overcome an enemy as a team. This has what? The same thing you say? HMMMMMMMMMMMMM Edit for your Edit: You're a moron. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and thinking this is a troll post from what you edited, but your parents need to be locked up for dropping you on the head so many times as a child if you really think that those comparisons are on the mark.

You're opinion is bad and you should feel bad.

17 RespuestasHonestly, I think my biggest concern is how Destiny is basically just a reskin of Mario Kart 64.
-
There's so much wrong with the OP's post but I can't be bothered to point it all out.
-
2 RespuestasDestiny is a RTS game, come on now.
-
3 RespuestasWorld of Warcraft is a lot better than Destiny.

2 RespuestasTell people to stop calling Destiny a MMO and we'll stop comparing it to one and proving it's not.
-
leeerrrroooy Jiiiiinnnkkiiinsssss! just saying.
-
WOW is a horrible game why would anyone want to compare it to WOW
-
I think Destiny is like Pong because they both use hand-held controllers and bright video screens to entertain hairless apes.
-
I would rather play WoW than Destiny. It's too similar.
-
You can actually compare certain elements to WoW.
-
Borderlands isn't a role playing game. It's a shoot and loot fest.

Editado por Trx666: 8/6/2014 2:01:09 AMI personally don't like wow but have done ALOT of raiding in swtor and I believe if they weren't going to implement raid style mechanics they would have just called it a strike? Teamwork and the mechanics of certain encounters are what constitutes a raid some guilds/clans took months to come up with strategies for a single encounter for instance check out the OperatorIX fight in hard mode on YouTube for a good example of this We don't know at this stage exactly what they have done with the vault of glass but you can bet there are some mechanics which involve co-ordinating some team members to activate things while other team members crowd control etc I think that a lot of people on here are expecting something akin to a halo fight on legendary where that is not going to be the case

come to think of it... my undead warlocks ...

3 RespuestasI'm just waiting for them to announce "destiny online". A real mmo with a huge open world with a subscription.
-
8 RespuestasBut they got MMO RPG in my FPS....
-
2 RespuestasDestiny has some MMO mechanics. Bungie states it is not an MMO but has some of its qualities. So when you think of an MMO what game comes to mind? WoW does, so I think what people are generally doing is stating what they would and would not like to have in Destiny (the MMO mechanics that is).
-
5 RespuestasBungie already compared the raids of destiny to the raids of WoW.
-
2 RespuestasWrong...Destiny is a shared world shooter nothing like borderlands or wow it's it's own entity.
