I agree that Halo will have an effect on Destiny. I disagree that it will be a bad effect.
As most of the trash talk comes from XBOX Halo tea baggers or self-entitled children with PS4's I see the release of the next Halo as a great way of getting rid of 50% of the idiots that play. If only we could release a game on the PS4 that would take the other 50%.
I am NOT saying all XBOX or PS4 players are idiots. Just that there is an exorbitant amount of them. I find most come from an FPS backgrounds & not MMO backgrounds.
WHY?
FPS = fight against each other. Players are enemies
MMO = Fight beside each other against a common enemy
Just my opinion. I do not speak for the ps3 community or the ex-mmo community.

Halo couldn't possibly hurt Destiny. (Imo). On one hand you have MCC. Only exclusive to Xbox one and is just a remastered version of all the games most have played already. On the other hand you have a brand new IP available for both consoles and is made by the original devs. who actually created the halo series! Destiny is going to blow MCC out of the water, in sales. (As they should!) MCC is just another way for 343 and Microsoft to pander for money.
