I've noticed that there seems to be no real stealth in Destiny, be it sneaking up on enemies for an assassination like take down or some kind of ability for the hunter to use. Should there be a stealth in Destiny? (Thanks for the feedback so far,. as for the Hunter subclass I didn't know about them having an invisibility skill. I too have been able to run up on enemies from behind and quickly kill them but there has been many time when I've walked up on an enemy from behind only to have them turn around for no apparent reason. As for an assassination I don't mean that it should be just like Halo's where you go into a third person pov and see the kill, It be more like a quick motion such as instead of just a storm fist to the back it would be a storm fist to the back of the head, or instead of just stabbing them the Hunter could go for the neck when sneak is successful, that could act as a critical or something along those lines.)

  • I don't know what you are talking about I sneaked past a lot of fallen and hive during the beta.

  • They need to at least have an assassinate mechanic for all classes so the odd time you can sneak up to NPCs from behind you can use a CQB assassinate move (Hunters=knife; Titan=Neck snap; Warlock=Traveller magic head crush)... That's my opinion.

  • Yeah. Hunters should be able to use stealth and turn invisible and stab people in the back for extra damage, then teleport away, and crouch invisibly waiting for the next victim. That would be awesome!

    • Hunters as bladedancers can use cloaking to get the advantage on enemies, however this isn't like a Spy's cloak from Tf2, it has to be triggered a certain way. Look to the skill tree by your legend menu for more deets.

      • Assassination moves and slow/no moving not showing on the motion tracker, sure. But I don't consider that stealth. But invisibility-like stealth? Maybe as a halo-style power up but NOT as a class ability. Take a look at WoW rogues for how badly that can go. Either it becomes too weak to and doesn't matter (at which point, why add it?), or it becomes extremely strong to the point of being near OP (if not OP). For those that haven't played WoW, the rogue class has stealth. They can't be seen unless you practically run through them while stealth is activated. The ability has come to define the class and they have easily become the most despised class by others. But it also means that they're pretty weak when caught outside of stealth...so they were given ways to help them get back into stealth. Regardless of if the class was OP or not, the ability came to define them and imo is horrible for PvP balance. As such I would NOT want to see such a thing happen in Destiny. And given how HP works in this game, going invis (even as an ability) just has too much potential for balance problems.

        • I've sneaked up on fallen before, be aware that the whole "if you can't see them they can't see you" isn't true right? Nah I'm just kidding, it really depends on where you are. If your in the open there bound to see you but if your in a closed corders kinda place you have a better chance of sneaking up on people/aliens. And a assassination animation (lol that rhymed) is bound to get you surrounded and or killed

        • There is. The Bladedancer can go invisible with certain abilities.
