Exploration has always been a part of gaming that has held a special place in my heart. I spent the majority of my time just walking around and riding through the ruins of Old Russia, seeing what I could find. I can't wait to just get on with some friend to search for secret bosses and hidden stashes in all the different worlds.
What do you think though? Is exploration important to you in a game? Or is there something else that has your attention for this game?
EDIT:
If you are down to Explore, my PSN is LunarSpy. See you at Day 1...hopefully.

Absolutely! I'm a hardcore multiplayer fan...but exploring in the beta was awesome! Looking forward to having less boundaries.

The exploration is probably the thing I'm looking forward to the most. I'm hoping that there are things left in the world to find, and things that subtly suggest or give clues regarding aspects of the story that are not explicitly stated, or things that raise interesting questions. (like all of the rusted cars piled up outside of the wall - what were they driving from in such a hurry, and what killed all of the drivers - some so quickly they couldn't leave the seats of their cars). I didn't see so much of that in the Beta, but then again... I wasn't looking very hard, mostly discouraged from exploring too out of the way by all of the 'turn back' kill zones and invisible walls I would encounter. I'm hoping that some of these disappear in the final release, and that Bungie hides a few things to find for the full release.

Love exploring. It's in my opinion one of the most enjoyable pve experiences in any game! I never know what I'll find. A hidden boss, an Easter egg, a potato or even the occasional dysfunctional zebra!
-
Sooo excited to explore, ill be playing on Xbox but i have a few friends on Playstation consoles. If you're looking for a group to play with, i started a clan today and i need as many members as possible. Join the Earth Defense Council, the more we have the easier it will be to set up groups for raids (since at the moment there is no matchmaking for it) and a team for pvp or pve that would actually communicate.

Ditto. Luv to explore . Got vanguard 2 and cruciple on beta. Can't wait till September.

Editado por cabinny00: 8/4/2014 12:43:10 AMYesh now leave me alone I am trying to get lost! Oh and me loves me some exploration as you can see by my stats in the beta.
-
I loved the exploration part in beta. And I was very pleased - that bungie gives you great rewards for doing so - rare loot and grimoire cards for finding dead ghosts. I even started a clan for solo-playing explorers like me. And would invite all my friends after the release. Here's the link btw I also created a themed wallpaper, maybe someone would like it, here's the link So, I'm adding you to my psn as soon as i'll get to PS4 =) See you too!

1 RespuestaI'm stoked it's all I did in the beta (sure played crucible n story) but majority explore and that's where you'll find me on release!!
-
Aye, I love exploring in a game that allows me to explore a LOT. Exploring with kind and sociable people would be a good experience.

8 RespuestasVery excited to explore. Only because the PvP is below average at best.
-
I plan on spending as much time as needed to cover every inch of the different areas before I move on to another one....................PvP is something that I will not do for a loooong time.
-
I can't wait to explore with buddies. Hopefully the game has larger maps than what I saw in the beta.
-
Exploring is my priority in any open-world game. Not only do I get some pretty sick screenies, but I also grind and get some shots at rare loot as well.
-
I think I'll probably go through the whole story first. But yeah, exploring is going to be my favorite mode followed by strikes and raids
-
My Beta experience... Warlock: Play the story levels, try the crucible, play the story's on higher levels. Explore, explore and explore some more. Then grind a few areas. Try the crucible again. Did about the same as a Titan. Chest hunt, go see what kind of trouble I can find. Kick, slide and head butt some balls. My 3rd character, actually my wife made a hunter and I played. I did the story's on hard, was level 4 beating the level 8's I think. Went to the moon beat it by myself on level 7 and with another player on level 9. Servers went nuts after that. Wishing I explored the moon, after watching YouTube videos. Then I just messed around with my Warlock and my wife's Hunter for days, until they shut down the servers... Could explore forever, The end!!!

This is mainly what I want to do in the game, besides .....everything else..... I loved getting deep into the moon or deep into Russia and hitting levels of enemies I couldn't even see, and gold chests. Delving deep actually felt like how a dungeon should feel, not like ESO or some other mangled game. Destiny actually created a sense of exploration, mystery and fear, not just an "exploration" progress bar.
-
50/50 it all seems small but then they can open up more in the future like the mounties in old Russia, more of the moon, other planets.
-
What I really like about the exploration is that there is no map of the area, at least not one that I noticed during the beta. It actually does force you to explore and remember where everything is in game. Such as all the juicy farming spots.
-
Really, really excited to explore uranus !
-
I look forward to doing a great deal of exploration. I think the game is beautiful and that there will be a ton of things to see, I'm sure. The places in the Beta alone were stunning to say the least. When Sep. 9th rolls around, I'm going to be very excited to see what other areas will be immediately available. I also did some exploring in the crucible, considering it's not the most ideal place to do so. Still... I had to see the views. Everything about this game, I have liked. Except the waiting but that's what makes it all the more special when you bring it home.

Exploring Old Russia was really interesting. I am still curious about the Hive lair that you could find inside the breach with all the high-levels. Same thing with the video some folk did of exploring the Moon (instead of doing the mission) - very curious to rummage through the Hellmouth zone. So yeah, agreed wholly on being excited for exploring.
-
That's makes the game even better. Exploration is gonna be what I'm doing most of the time when Destiny comes out.

I loved exploring. i spent hours wandering the Cosmodrome and performing tasks for the Vanguard. I could get lost in it like I do with Skyrim.
