Did the HAVE to take the beta away? (ZOMG)
I mean, I understand a closed beta and invite only and shutting it down to better analyze data and all that.
But dont you guys think they could just as easily have let us keep the beta as more of a demo? The characters are gonna be wiped anyway, why not just let us go crazy on the two maps and play as much as we wanted until release? Kinda seems like a tease. Damn you Bungie

Because people still think the beta characters are staying and are claiming if they ARE wiped "there hard work will be for nothing" :I do you think bungie is going to let there precious little famboys get even more sad?

I would have been happy with that. I was hoping they would just let us keep playing. The beta was definitely enough to have fun with, but definitely not enough to spoil the full game.

Because people would just play the demo and not buy the game. It was a really meaty beta, after all. I was very happy playing it for nearly over 50+ hours.

I just want to play, I feel like I will have a good amount of fun on this game. I've been dreaming of an MMO structured FPS. I've even thought of a game similar to this style, I wish I knew enough to make it into a real game thatd be a damn dream come true.

20 RespuestasThat would mean keep the servers up. Considering they're still putting the finishing touches on the game, having to worry about the stability /maintenance of the Beta servers at the same time would be an unnecessary hassle. Besides, I loved the Beta but I already completed everything there was to do in it a dozen times over. I don't want to get sick of Destiny before they launch and give us all of the REALLY cool stuff.

I think the beta should have been longer, as an xbox user i only got 5 days which is pretty short in terms of a beta. But the point was to test the servers, and add any small changes that the community wanted, sadly it just wouldnt be a beta if it lasted till the release of the game.
