You need headshots for Handcannons to do their thing. Once you get used to them, they no longer have "horrible" damage

I only get headshots but 3 out of 6 bullets to kill even in the head is ridiculous

Just a crappy Handcannon. My searcher would two shot vandals, one shot dregs, acolytes, and thralls.

Im almost certain he is referring to PVP. As it stands they are an ok option in PvE except in a strike. In which waves and waves of enemies will most likely be too much for a hand cannon to deal with.

I managed just fine, but the Hunters added reload ability does help a lot
