This was a BETA. Not an EARLY ACCESS of the game. We didn't earn anything from getting to level 8. The level cap is higher than twenty and that's when the game starts.
Some say Bungie doesn't owe us anything.
Was the game that hard you need a head start to fight the bad guys?

I'm just going to go ahead and say, I'll be starting a new character because I think mine looks like a drag queen.

I strongly recommend people to read the article from Neil Gaiman about G R R. Martin. I don't have the link rigth now because I'm using the app but the title was "G.R.R. Martin is not your bitch" We were lucky to help Bungie building their servers and Destiny. When you pre order a game you only have the rigth to be delivered and able to play day one. You buy a game in order to discover a new world, a new universe offered by a team of devs. Bungie told us that, by preordering, we'll be able to step in advance in the world and it was (for me) glorious. It was comparable to a writter giving a chapter of his next book to the readers who have pre ordered the book. You have absolutetly no rigth to ask a writter to change his story because it doesn't suit you, please you enough. He told his story the way he wants to, taking the amount of time he needs to. It's the same here, Bungie gave us a hint about its next book and they will hear our comments in order to improve the game but they are in no way requiered to say yes and yield to every request we have because they "owe us something by preordering". The deal was clear: pre order and have access to the beta in order to help us. Nothing less nothins more and by Jove it was something. Even if I only keep my beta emblem, I'll remember this 10 days of pure gaming with my friends, brother, GF and even unknown people who where funny and cool.

2 RespuestasI played both Alpha and Beta and if I would get anything to the full game for my troubles GREAT!! and if I do not no biggie I am just happy that I got to play the game before launch and say my 2 cents what I did not like and did like.

I look at it both ways. I'm an open mind dude and I say it would be pretty cool to get your beta data (lol rhymed) into the release just to get a head start or get some bragging rights maybe or whatever stupid reason somebody will want their old data on the full game release. On the other hand, people do have Excellent points like leveling up is very easy and not too time consuming in the game.

1 RespuestaIn all reality guys being in the beta was reward enough, it probably took you all longer to download the game then it did to get to level 8. And think about it... all that gear was crap anyways. Who honestly can say they had exotic gear? You will replace that gear so fast it wont even be funny. Seriously if you got your endgame gear that quick the game wouldnt be worth playing for 10 years like bungie plans

8 RespuestasWith you all the way. I didn't spend a lot of time on the beta but I knew from day one that beta's are intended for making the game better and testing severs. A great game will keep everyone regardless of what they do with our beta progress, but I'm sure many people say they won't pick up the game if they can't keep their progress. Either lies lies lies or pure stupidity if one were to not pick up a great game because "I can't keep my beta progress Wahh!!! :,(". I kind of hope they wipe everything then everyone who has a problem with it doesn't pick up the game because then it'll be so much better.

Actually you get pre-order benefits. early access, beta access, access to vanguard armory, ship, etc. it's pretty coowel to have participated in the beta even if I had to play my bro-in-laws beta copy

I'm on both sides, basically. Part if me wants to have Bungie to transfer all my hours of game time to the full release. The other part of me wants me to support Bungie's decisions. I mean, it's their game, right? Plus, it would kinda be unfair to the people who were less fortunate and they could not attend the Beta. So if Bungie makes the decision to or to not transfer out hours, then I'm with them.

Nowadays all game companies value the gamers opinions and feedback (as you can see bungie has created an app with forums and is continuously asking players for feedback about the game) I'm sure you all have seen how Xbox one's arrogant policies were changed due to the fact that the "not-so-special" gamers voiced their distaste of those restrictions All in all, yes we are special and we do matter :)

2 RespuestasI honestly don't think we should keep our gear it was an amazing beta and we did our jobs we played it and we broke it quite a few times. If you feel the need for your precious legendary loot to be transferred over to the actual game - you shouldn't have tried so hard for it. Its a BETA people.
