Is Buying a PS4 Worth it?
Before Destiny I had no intent on buying a PS4 but now that I have played the Beta, I think I might sell my PS3, 3 controllers and all of its games, to get more money for a PS4. Smart Decision? I want reason to buy one or reason not to. I'm not buying an Xbox, and please don't start a petty flame war.

If possible, I would wait until I could get the ps4 by some means other than selling my ps3. I personally regret selling my old SNES, Genesis (2x) and original gameboys to this day. At the time I didn't care, now, off the top of my head I'd say it's my biggest gaming/entertainment regret. The 2nd reason is that PS3/last gen has a huge back log. I still log more hours on my ps3 than my ps4 most weeks.

Editado por SaferMurderweapon: 8/1/2014 9:44:59 PMDon't sell your older consoles unless you won't be playing on them. There are currently games still being developed for PS3 so I'd advise against it. No point getting a PS4 right now anyway since there aren't that many games. If your worried about Destiny, your character data is shared between PS3 and PS4 so there's no need to worry there. You can start on PS3 and continue on PS4, or vice versa.

yeah, like others have said: both ps4 and xbox 1 have their perks. I don't consider one better than the other. So, like in South Park, get whatever your friends have OR since you have a PS3, sticking with Playstation products may be the easiest transition.

2 RespuestasIt's worth it buying a Ps4 or an Xbox One. Both consoles are nice in my opinion, as both have their perks that differ from eachother. I'm on the One, but plan on buying a Ps4 later down the road. At the end of the day, I think they're both pretty great. For me, it's just about personal preference.

I got bored of some of the early releases of the ps4's life as I bought it on release day, but now all top games are coming out that I'm really looking forward to.

If u have 3d movies stored on thumb drive keep the ps3 though. Can't believe u can't stream from thumb drive on ps4.

I am playing on ps3, there is no difference In the game besides graphics. I had a great time with the beta on ps3, if you really want to buy a ps4 then do it, but know that you don't have to

I'd say wait till black Friday better deals yet in the mean time you can still transfer your character to ps4 as well there are still not enough ps4 games worthy of playing when there's no backward compatibility

And there's also games like Infamous: Second Son, The Last of Us Remastered, Tomb Raider and Watch_Dogs you can try out.

3 RespuestasPs3 is the only console I havent played the game on (my PS3 wasnt at home during the beta) but I can tell you that there was a significal difference in graphics between the 360 and X1 so I imagine that it's similar on PS3 vs PS4. So that's one reason. Another reason to get one is that I can't imagine that Bungie will support PS3 and 360 for another ten years, the Destiny saga's lifespan. You can always get one later though because it's possible to use the same character on the old and new consoles, as long as it's the same manufacturer and that they havent changed this from the beta.
