1 RespuestaPeople hate it because they thought it would be an mmo, even though Bungie told them it wasn't. Bungie likes to make quality areas and missions, so they might make it smaller, but they make it better. Old Russia may have been small to some, but no one got lost because of Bungie's expertise at placing landmarks.

8 RespuestasThe only thing I did not like about the beta was an overemphasis on PvP.

16 RespuestasPerfect?? Far from it I'm afraid. Broken PVP. NO in game communication. Terrible team building mechanics. Very long loading times to get everywhere. Far from perfect, but I am still not planning to cancel my pre-order because as bad as it is it still seems like this years best offer.

I love Destiny, but I don't play PvP. I also didn't assume that there were any locations other than old Russia, the Moon, Mars and Venus, since the developer announced that those are the locations you can visit long ago. Instead of attempting to mentally construct how I thought the game might play based on preliminary verbal descriptions by the developer and publisher, I played the Alpha and the Beta and loved it. I think when a game is very ambitious some fans imagine their wish list of features attached to the new game and interpret teaser information from the developer as confirmation of the hoped-for feature. Developers can't be sure which features will come together as planned (see Skyrim or Fable) yet must still generate publicity for the game. This combination of necessarily vague teaser information from the developer and selective attention from hopeful fans leads to disappointment posts in every game specific forum for every game. My point is, this happens with every major release, regardless of the quality of the game.

2 RespuestasI read nothing about this game, hype can be poisonous in the long run. I was lucky enough to get an early access beta from a friend out the blue and when I downloaded it and played it I absolutely fuggin loved what I played. Aside from Bungie needing to nerf AR's and super buff hand cannons (which I'm sure there working on right now!) I thought it was damn near perfect fun. The pvp is not broken, they have already said they are nerfing the interceptor which was well and truly my only criticism of the entire experience. The classes felt balanced and the maps where a perfect mix of long ranges and tight spaces. I loved it. After playing the destiny beta literally every game I own became sub standard crap...and this was the beta. I cannot wait to play this game.

1 RespuestaThe game is super fun. People that hate it only have themselves to blame for getting overhyped. It's not a perfect game but none are. It will definitely be up there with my most played games with borderlands 2 and pokemon red.

1 RespuestaEditado por Godlike13: 7/29/2014 3:03:49 PMPVP was far from perfect, and some of the guns could use some balancing so that one group isn't far and away better then the others, but honestly from what ive played the game was magnificent.

3 RespuestasBecause some gamers actually know what quality is, OP. You clearly haven't played a lot of games in your days.

15 RespuestasEditado por Sky Sweeper: 7/29/2014 2:45:03 PMcause it's still no where close to what the developers described it as at E3? This is why I -blam!-ing hate hype-talk. I love DeeJ for what he does, but the way he talks and describes things sometimes just urks me. "The hunter imbues himself with the light of the traveler to burn a righteous path through his enemies" you mean he gets a golden gun with three shots in it, potentially four. JUST -blam!-ING SAY THAT AAAGHHH I HATE OVER HYPE! "you can go to all of this" - e3. Now "Oh no, you can't go there. *instant death*"

8 RespuestasWell, if you came in with bloated expectations, assumptions, inherent vitriol, or genuinely feel you've been lied to by Bungie... it's not a big leap to hate the product. I assume this is the reasoning. Can't say for sure, I love this game and the company.
