I honestly don't see why they would pop up at the beginning of the world in the basement place! Care to share some light?

To scare the ever living shit out of you. It is that simple...those underground tunnels CREEPY AS ALL HELL! FRICKING METRO FLASHBACKS!
-
Alot of games do this to mobs out your range, I think the reason would be to give earth more replayability since once u do moon mars venus etc, u can still go to earth and.explore further
-
1 RespuestaA group of them hid the seraphim vault. There's was an easy way to get through locked doors in the beta. Kings watch for example. Btw the vault was amazing. If you played the alpha its the new group they added. Hopefully you got to check it out.

-
I definitely rode my sparrow through the Grotto all the way out the other side. Apparently its just a big circle of lvl 20's to another part of the map, haha Wonder if I missed an important turn in my rush...

1 RespuestaThey're mobs that are at least 6 levels higher than you're current level. Ex: a level 8 mob appears as a ?? to a level 2 Guardian. I think they were there to entice us to come back to earth later on.
-
I would imagine there are two reasons. One would be that you are meant to come back during the story, but only at a higher level. The other reason is there might be really good loot down there and they don't want you getting to it until you are a higher level. Either way it's to prevent you from getting down there sooner than you should.

Why not
-
Well I'm just curious on why their in low level places such as the beginning of the exploration with level 2's. I've been in the basement room and there was no chest or anything
-
i explored many of those?? areas and it is just a pathway to different areas and some hidden bosses i never explored it extensively because its kinda intense trying to get past 50 enemies that all kill you instantly. just some fallen ghosts and loot chests nothing of huge value unless they change it and add more to the space in actual game.
-
Something to look forward too.
-
INTIMIDATION. What else?
-
A lot of MMO's do this

They never stopped me. Explored every inch of the map, sprint through the clusters of them. I was saddened a little to see that most of those places were just shortcuts around the map really or alternate routes. Unless you did the glitch to see the Seraphim Vault or Kings Watch. I was in awe at those locations. Particuarily the vault, that place seemed VERY mysterious and Kings Watch.. I am very curious as well, especially with that big, different Fallen creature i saw in there.
-
If you played the strike before level 4 then the enemies were all level ??. It's because they're too high for you to recognise at your current level.
-
1 RespuestaI would say to promote a sense of wonder. I am curious to know what's past those enemies, or at least what's around them. If you saw those in the full game, you'd probably make a mental note to come back later when you're stronger and see what they're guarding, y'know?
-
It is because those enemies are there to safeguard a secret. It is an actual truth that area actually is bigger than you would assume. If you go to that region where you face ??s off of Forgotten Shores and find that dark cave full of Thralls, that will take you elsewhere on Earth. I heard it takes you to the Devil's Lair, directly inside. I dunno but it already says a lot that there is much to explore!

Cause they -blam!-ing can? *sips tea*
-
4 RespuestasThey're just monsters that are way over you're level and can't be killed at your current level

7 RespuestasEditado por DigiOps: 7/28/2014 6:32:15 AMHigh level critters put there in an attempt to discourage further poking around. Fun fact: Those level 11 Dregs that show up in Forgotten Shore to the right of the cannon as you enter have "??" if you encounter them at a low level as well.
