So I get that Microsoft and Bungie have issues because of the ownership rights of Halo... But does Bungie have to take it out on Xbox Gamers?
I preordered the game and plan to keep my preorder but come on something's got to give... Bungie says preorder destiny for a beta key but not exactly when beta will happen or what will be playable (understandable). So I preordered because I have been following the game since the mention of it. Bungie making a shooter based mmo, just reading that made me pee a little out of excitement. But here comes beta! and they say; we will be releasing beta keys for Sony PlayStation consoles on July 17th and Xbox July 24th... dafuq I said. Then I read that everyone will be getting access to the beta on July 24th, that's if you didn't preorder. So I am wondering to myself what the hell was the point of preordering a game for an incentive to a beta key, when I could have just waited till the 24th to play it like everyone else without paying. Now I am also hearing that their will be PlayStation only exclusive content for Destiny. I guess what I am trying to say is what did Xbox users do to Bungie that made them treat us like apparent crap on their heels. Especially since it was Xbox users that helped populate and buy their Halo 1, 2, 3, Reach titles that even made them famous in the first place. Cause I sure as hell didn't play any of Bungie`s earlier titles before they signed with Microsoft to make Halo. So what I am trying to get at is Bungie please stop this apparent hate on Microsoft and making Microsoft users pay the price for which I will be honest; it was your baby and Microsoft did keep it, but we are past that and you are making an epic game, where all should get to enjoy the content, and not just based on which console that I have dictates whether or not I get this or that.
Equality for all.

4 RespuestasWhy? Microsoft just announced today that the next game for Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Microsoft only. PC and Playstation areexcluded. I was looking forward to it on my PS4. Oh well. It's part of doing business to draw customers to their products. Sony got Destiny, Microsoft got Halo and Tomb Raider. FYI Bungie didn't make the deal. Activision is the publisher and one that made it. You aren't even talking to the correct players involved.

i am suprised that we even get the game on xbox.. i guess Bungie figured holding a grudge against Microsoft isnt worth losing millions of dollars in game sales.
-
They dont has issues Bungie said they were done with Halo after Halo 3 they just made two more to go out with a bang
-
I hope you start school soon you damn childish crybaby.

What does Bungie have against Xbox Gamers? They have sony money this time around an not bill gates money for the 1st time in gaming history OH NO what will we do... 1) Get a job 2) Buy both consoles 3) Get every exclusive for every game every like most working people /wink
-
Sony didn't "get" Destiny, Sony only secured exclusive access to a pvp map, a strike, and 3 armor sets. These would be the only reason I ever buy a ps4, if it was worth my time to level up throw away characters and wade through the horrible ps community for "friends" with which to experience the exclusive content. Honestly I don't know why anyone would ever buy a ps4 when there are no games that aren't on ps3 or all platforms already. And no I will not be wasting 400 dollars for the extra content.

Square Enix is to PlayStation as Bungie is to Xbox See what I did there?

Oh dear, this again. Let me start out by saying this. I bought the original Xbox because halo. Halo 2 had a collectors edition. I bought it.You better believe when halo 3 came out, that helmet was on my shelf! I played firefight for hours with friends and family with ODST. When Halo: Reach came out, I left the store with the custom Xbox AND the legendary edition. So many jealous stares that night. I was the ultimate Halo fan.......Guess what.....I BOUGHT A PS4.........you should have too.

1 RespuestaEditado por Jasondurgen: 8/13/2014 12:31:43 AMJust delete this entire thread if it's possible. Go learn a thing or two about the gaming industry and how it works. Then you'll realize why posting this thread was a complete waste of time and effort.

The answer is simple. You can either go research how business in the gaming industry works or read the spoiler.
Sony spent the extra money for exclusive and timed exclusive content. Just like Microsoft has done with CoD and The Elder Scrolls in recent history.
-
The exclusives are timed we will get them just not as soon
-
Stop whining. I have a 360 and will be getting a One when Destiny is released (CAN'T WAIT!!). Live with it, yeah we got beta access late, did u play? If so why are you complaining? Yes Ps users get exclusive content. So what? We'll have it as well eventually. Bungie isn't taking anything out on anyone. Bungie didn't make this decision Activision did. And it's a business Sony paid for it Microsoft didn't.
-
Get your facts straight first ms turned down the exclusives them sony offered activision a deal for exclusives.

LOL! These Xbox kids are really pitching fits. Man, I wonder how you kids are at home with your parents. Probably throw tonka trucks at them when you don't get your way. It's not even that serious. Like I've told many Xbox kids, you guys had numerous occasions when yall got the first dibs. Now this one time it happens and yall act like the world is ending. Now its a loyalty issue. Now you've been "backstabbed" by Bungie. Get over yourself kid. The world doesn't dance to your itunes.

God xbox whiners ... sony just lost tomb raider ... companys outbud eachother for exclusives so they can sell more .. it happens
-
Deals between companies are deals between companies. I'm sure Sony put up some fat money to be the favored platform for the first big game of the new gen. I'm on XBOne and am a Halo fan but I get how things work. Business is business.
-
Odd that you scream equality, but the whole reason that Destiny is a PS exclusive ( timed) was to keep MS from having a stranglehold on content for 2 major Activision titles. Maybe you should look deeper into the business reasons as to why this happened, and not look at it from an emotional perspective? MS chose CoD....In response, Activision allowed Sony Destiny. Maybe you should be mad a MS for only catering to the CoD crowd?

8 RespuestasThink about it this way Xbox players got Halo for years and they did a fantastic job with their series and it's lore, after they finished they gave it to 343i now after they they we're thinking (mainly about world domination) they said "you know what? We can't achieve world domination if we don't use multiple consoles so we need to find a way to get more players" you know what they did? They started talking to Sony AND Microsoft, they said "hey we have this thing we wanna do, we are retaining the rights and you both get to play" they agreed and boom development began, Sony was busy developing it's shiny new PS4 an Bungie went to them again to help design it's controller this is where they got a new idea "if we give Sony players exclusive content more people will buy it and we will gain the trust of the Sony players" As Xbox owners we know that Bungie can make great games we are supposed to trust them, they are trying to start a new friendship so to speak TL;dr bungie does playstation exclusives because they want to form a new relationship with playstation players so they get shiny new things As Xbox owners we know that they can make good games and should trust them
-
ACTIVISION... has done this before. an example being Call of Duty Ghosts. 30 day timed DLC for the xbox. dont blame bungie
-
3 RespuestasThere is only one strike that is ps exclusive. It should not be the end of the world for u
