Evening all, I thought I'd start this thread up for all of us out there who are dad's looking at this awesome looking game coming on the horizon, and asking ourselves "how on earth are we going to get the time to play this awesome game!?"
I'm a reasonably new father with a little girl who is my everything. Before she came into this world I found myself with a reasonable amount of time to game if I wanted to but now she's my no.1 objective.
I found a little bit of time to play the alpha, and absolutely loved it but it soon dawned on me how much of a time sink it could become lol.
So my question to you, the dad's of destiny, how will you be managing your time between dirty nappies, mealtimes, crying fits, and all the beautiful things we have to do as being a father, and a good partner to your girlfriends, fiancées, and wives? And not forgetting jobs too lol
I work nights so I'm a bit of a night owl so on my days off I can grip some play late at night whilst my daughter sleeps with the possibility of a few hours when my partner is at home too. Really looking forward to the beta, and even more so for the full game!
Your thoughts below guys :-)

5 RespuestasHey, as all my mates are ps4 loyalists I would be happy to game with any dad's of destiny on the xb1. Gt is althalus117, feel free to add me. Nice to meet some gamers who know the struggles of gaming in the real world. Lol

Looks like a lot of groups/clans are trying to go with this theme as there seem to be more and more "looking for older/mature gamers for my new clan" threads.

4 RespuestasI get about 30min - 1hr of play time a day or none. Usually I get a lot of gaming on when my baby mama(or wife) is stuck watching some dumb show kardashin ect. I have 2 little girls. And when I'm not busy with them I'm able to side track them with some anime. Dbz inyusaha. But what really really works is anime. American cartoons just doesn't capture kids attention that long. And on the plus side I'm able to watch it with them.

1 RespuestaHow many ps4 players do you have

Looks like this has been moved to clans. We're moving up in the world.

I have three girls with the oldest turning 4 in November and the youngest was born on 5/4 this year so I know what you mean. Between Destiny, the Halo Collection and my passion for racing games the Xbox One I dont have yet is in for some serious game time this year. Especially since the wife likes to play Halo split screen with me, got lucky with that one!

1 Respuestanap time is 12 - 15.30 and they have to stay there and have quiet time whether they choose to sleep or not. And then evenings after they go to bed

Nice thread you got going. I'm a proud father myself and glad I still manage the hours to game like a pro lol

Dads, not Dad's.

4 RespuestasAs a female gamer I think you should plop her in your lap and play away. It will socialize her into gaming properly!

5 RespuestasThis is such a great community of gamers. I wish this was the majority of the gaming community. I would enjoy gaming online a lot more if it was. Sadly its not and I normally stick to the few players I know because of this. I'm not a father yet, but when the ten year experience is over, I'll be 29 and on my way to being a father. Its a scary thought. I respect you all for finding the time to balance your jobs, family and gaming while maintaining your grade A personalities and being respectful of your fellow gamers. You gentlemen are awesome.

1 RespuestaSo many people with so many kids in here. Guess there's no need to worry for me only having to juggle one child, a wife, a job, sport and gaming then if some of you guys can do it with up to 6 or more.

5 RespuestasEditado por Dragonmourne: 7/3/2014 4:40:23 PMWell I guess I'm pretty lucky. My wife is the bread-winner in my home, being a programmer making 6 figures a year, so I get to stay home and raise my awesome daughter who is almost 2. I've fortunately gotten past the early stages of having to constantly keep her from eating random things off the floor, and she is a rather independant kid, able to occupy herself for hours with toys, empty boxes, and playing with our dog. Between playing with her, feeding, changing, and nap time, I get plenty of time to myself to play video games. My only major concern with Destiny is the extremely time consuming sections, such as the raids, where the average run seems to take many hours to complete. If it's not something I can easily walk away from for a while, it might be something that I won't get to participate in very often, if at all. My PS4 friend's list is pretty meager, so if any of you awesome guys want to team up and wreck some baddies during the Beta, feel free to add me on PSN, Dragonmourne.

Editado por whoneedslag: 7/3/2014 6:28:01 PMI think i will join this group as i am dad myself. I am 25 i have daughter that turned 1 year old back in April (yup still in the diaper stage). It is exciting to see she loves to grab the ps4 controller and push the buttons and play with the joysticks so maybe one day i can play games with her :) I Mainly played the game at night when my daughter and my wife are asleep. I put every night i could into the alpha and so usually my strategy is during the week after work i mainly play towards the evening this helps me balance of devoting my time to my faith, family etc as i should but still game at night. On weekends just depends on free time. Im on ps4 and i am joining this group.
