You can clearly tell they put his voice through a synthesizer.

6 RespuestasEditado por TheWowso: 6/27/2014 1:30:42 AMAm I the only one who thought he was fine? Though, I would've liked the option to pick a ghost voice. Even if it was the same lines but different voices, though Peter is good.

2 RespuestasHOLY crap I hadn't watched that since before the beta... Having played it now .. Jeeze is this a phenomenal trailer! And all in game visuals.. Wow it rocked my socks off all over again... And can more people acknowledge and get excited about the fact that bill nighy is voicing a main character!!! Not to mention Nathan fillion
-
1 RespuestaThank you... Obviously they were using placeholder audio... They were even able to laugh about it enough to make a short about it.. And remember some of it is the writing... I think people are generality over reacting because dinklage is a big name right now due to the popularity of game of thrones.. I absolutely expect to enjoy and appreciate his voice acting.... And it wouldn't shock me if they had a more polished via product on the beta... I have faith... Bungie really hasn't been known for shoddy half assery so far.. So why jump the assumption gun now

1 Respuestathe script he was given is juvenile they probably told him to read it flat too and they then went over the top and put a shitty synthesizer to finish it off gg bungie

6 RespuestasEditado por derpds: 6/27/2014 12:57:55 AMYou can't fix bad ;) In the end they just picked the wrong guy, he came up short in the end on his performance. Not trying to look down on the guy but he definitly needed to grow into the part more.
-
They digitalized Dinklage lol, good bad whatever still gone play the hell out of this game

Editado por MadHaze: 6/27/2014 7:28:13 AMI think it's better. But could do with more. Like the "KiTT" voice out of Night Rider. That's gotta be the most convincing talking Machine :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiTYzppwU7s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiwZwbDSE_Y hahaha Awseome bit of 80's Cheese !

Don't stink on The Dink!

5 RespuestasWhen are they coming out with the Samuel l Jackson and Morgan Freeman voice packs?
-
3 RespuestasThey can synthesize all they want, but that won't fix "That wizard came from the moon!" And "If you see something in the air you have to shoot it!" Lol
-
I like it.
-
Much better. I hope it sounds this way in the final game.
-
Yeah once I seen the trailer a while back I knew they put that extra on his voice. Everyone complaining for nothing. Well if that's the worse thing in the game... I'll live with it.

4 Respuestasevery Video what was made by bungie was nit based on alphafootage and his voice was in the Alpha just recorded with changes so whats all the matter sometimes i think we have a 1000 users with no Brains here how old are you ? not to understand what Alpha is of course his voice gonna be much better and fiting dumbasses
-
2 RespuestasYay a bored synthesized voice!
-
Aww man. I prefer raw Dinklage to processed Dinklage. :/

13 RespuestasPutting a modulator doesn't change poor performance. If the voice in the alpha had a modulator, it would be poor performance with a modulator. "Fixing" the voice would be re-recording dialogue. Thankfully, I swear the Alpha had to have been cold-read and was recorded quickly for the Alpha. Hopefully better recordings were done for the full title.

8 RespuestasThey should make him sound like sovereign in Mass Effect

1 RespuestaYeah, a lot of people has pointed this out specially in reviews. So... what will be in the final product ? this or what was on the alpha. After all the reactions, I'm guessing an even more heavier produced voice. But the wizard line should be left intact, sort of a commemoration of the alpha.

I like it! Good change.

I think one of two things happened here: 1: Dinklage didn't take the gig seriously. He thought "meh, it's just a video game. I don't really need to try." His personality certainly makes me think this is a serious possibility. 2: Bungie instructed him to talk in a monotonous voice, to create the effect of an ancient robot. But here's the catch: to make a voice sound robotic, it needs to monotonous AND synthesized. You can't have one without the other and expect good results. I personally think it's Bungie's fault. The voice actor's in this game are mostly sub-par (Commander Zavala is terrible, Lord Shaxx is a discount Ghost from MW2). The only one's I don't mind are the weapons dealer, and the Speaker. I love the Cayde-6 actor, though.

1 RespuestaEditado por wickedwahine808: 6/26/2014 10:14:35 AM
Peter Dinklage voice already fixed.
It just dawned on me this makes no sense. Why should anyone have to "fix" Peter Dinklage's voice? Could it be the writing needs to be improved or the character he's portraying needs to be developed so he can run with it?
-
It sounds way better already. I know there was the odd line in the alpha in which he sounded flat out bored, but on the whole I enjoyed his performance.

Sigh too many people will troll off this.
