I want a PS4 because most of my friends have it and there's some great games coming out for it, but the XB1 has Halo and other good exclusives +better online.
I also have considered building a PC but Id still be missing out on console exclusives like Destiny and Halo.
Wat do?

I'm going for the xbox one, I'm not just going for what has better specs, I want more games that appeal to me, not what ur friends like because probably they have diff. Interest then u so pick and u won't regret it

Honestly, I'd pick up a PS4 now, and start saving up for Xbox One (I'm assuming money is an issue) to buy around December (so that you can participate in the beta. If that doesn't matter to you, consider waiting until 2015 to purchase a One.) You won't be missing out on many new things in the MCC (they're remakes), and Halo 5: Guardians doesn't come out until 2015. Whereas Destiny comes out this year with exclusive content on the PS4, plus your friends are probably going to be playing it. Plenty of time to make cash.

Friends come before everything else. That's why I bought a Xbox One, all my friends are on it plus I love the exclusives.
-
Friends first.

You should get the wii u
not even though u will get smash brothers i wouldn't unless u really want it
1 RespuestaIf like me you love halo, then I am afraid you don't really have a choice. Plus, Gears of War is great too!
-
Chose the one that has the games you want to play. I personally was originally going to get the PS4 because I wanted to play a Bungie game on a Sony console. Then Steve Dowes (voice of Master Chief) leaked the info about H2A. Since I am a Halo nut I chose to get the XB1 instead.

Editado por TheThunderDumpling: 6/25/2014 12:05:17 PMScrew the fanboy loyalty BS. Your friends can make a somewhat boring game great fun, and the most important thing about gaming is having fun. I've been pretty disappointed with both of the new consoles, and nothing they offer, is worth leaving your friends behind to play alone.

My only annoyance with the PS4 is controller. I actually got used to the sticks within 10 min... I thought it would take forever. My major complaint are the triggers. Now, maybe it was just these controllers, but the ones I played on were squeaky and felt nothing like a trigger should feel. The xbox one triggers with the rumble feel so -blam!-ing good. Oh and actually, for me personally, my thumbs felt like they were about to fall off the sticks because the grip wasnt very good. I also hear complaints that the ps4 rubber grips degrade very quickly. The xb1 grips are really really well done. The PS4 is not a bad console. I just dont like their exclusives... But I would not mind trying TLOU or Uncharted. I got an xbox one not because of my friends.. Yeah they go online, but I barely play with them anyway lol I got an xbox one because Halo and I cant imagine not using voice commands anymore lol they work really well! Online is pretty much the same deal. Both give away free games. Both have cool apps. Yeah PS4 is better with hardware... But not with software. Just my humble opinion. I almost jumped ship to PS4 until MS retracted their bullshit.

20 RespuestasOk, I just got a Ps4. I played a bunch on an Xbone, and it wasn't nearly as cool. The ps4 looks great for movies, the online is free for most things. The controller is awesome with the Lightbar, trackpad, motion sensors (work great) and the built in speaker (works in Killzone when u find a Audiolog). The Ps4 gives you an overall richer gaming experience. The Lightbar motion sensor, and built in speaker have great potential. The Xbox one is huge and ugly (wouldn't have fit where I keep my Ps4). Little know thing about the kinect. 10% of the Xbone's already handicapped ram (handicapped compared to Ps4) is diverted to the Kinect, even if you don't have a kinect. The ONLy reason I'd get an Xbox one is for Halo 5, which doesn't even look all that great. Go for the Ps4 if your a gamer. Go for Xbox one if you are not a gamer

5 RespuestasI would build a PC,unless you like to be simple with your gaming.

Why not all of the above?

4 RespuestasI'm in a similar situation, I plan on getting a PS4 to play Destiny with my friends, but muh Halo 2 : (
-
Honestly , wherever most of your friends will e playin! But I bought both so I can have the best experience on the ps4 and play with friends on both.... Xbone for it's exclusives like halo and etc , most of my friends play on the xbone which is what I bought first

1 RespuestaSNES all the way
-
Save your money and get both
-
Get a piece of paper. Write down the cost/benefits of each console. Buy the console which has the greatest benefits and least costs.
-
You can build an okay computer at 400, but if you want to play with friends get ps4, do a lot of these friends have an xbone already and enjoy halo? If so get xbone cause then there's destiny and halo
-
Honestly i'd say go for what you want and what's most important to you. What would you like to get most out of your game machine? Do you have friends on one console that you really want to play with? I can tell you personally for myself I got a PS4 day one after Microsoft burned me with all their bs, but it's nice to see them trying to correct Don Matricks mistakes. Honestly at the end of the day it really does come down to your personal choice. (I know I repeated myself there, but go with your gut and you probably won't regret it) What ever you choose keep on gaming strong and of course, Be Brave
-
Are they good friends? Do you play an insane amount of Halo? Can you make new friends( especially after MCC comes out) ? How much do you play with your friends and of those who is your closest and what did he buy? Hope that helped

Get the one you'll have most fun on. Whether that's what your friends are getting or the one with your favourite games has to be your choice in the end

1 RespuestaEditado por SoggyDiapers: 6/24/2014 3:40:24 PMBuy a gaming console to play games. The ps4 will always be superior in graphic capability to the one. And pc will always win the graphics race no matter what. There really arent many exclusives for either console coming, aside from only a handful. Its mainly going to be cross platform games. But since most your friends play ps4, i would go that route. If you like new small developer games, ps4 wins in the indies as well. I can tell you live is not better than ps plus online. They are both pretty equal this gen. X1 likes to tout "cloud" computing. It has yet to really do anything with it. Lets say, you lose your internet connection, well that just became worthless. Not to mention Sony can just as easily implement cloud computing if they felt they needed to. What made me go from 360 to ps4 was pretty simple. sony made a gaming console, with the gamer as the focal point. X1 made a social media hub with a bunch of crap i could careless about and made gaming secondary. Yea e3 they talked about games, games, games. But most of those will be on ps4 with better resolution. Look at the current trend in resolution of games. This will continue as games stop being made on last gen consoles and become more graphic intensive as developers push the hardware to its limits. The hardware is just better on the ps4 than what x1 put out. Everything the x1 can do, my smart tv already does, except play games. So the social media, watching tv etc selling points are pretty pointless to me. Also not sure where you live, but most those features will not work outside the U.S..I put a couple links below for you to check out. http://youtu.be/EIjJGuRgykU http://youtu.be/6Cm8EJhv74I *comparing games/exclusives* http://youtu.be/eBwtJx-ncyU http://youtu.be/0ruo84asvQo *this one mainly discusses the processing of each console. And if you only watch 1 of these videos, watch this one*

Get an X1, make your friends sell their PS4's for Xboxes and then be happy.

3 RespuestasBut Scorch, we all have Xbox One's.
Serious response: If you want to play with your friends go with the PS4.
