Shotguns are fine. They are useless from mid-range. But lethal at close range. And let's be honest you don't want to fight close ranged with these Melee and Super attacks.

I only had a problem with starting off with shotgun ammo right as the game starts. I think it would have been better if the only weapon you have ammo for is the primary weapon at the start of game.
